I haven't been too active as I was pretty disappointed the past couple weeks. I decided the keep the car a couple weeks back and start daily'n it again. Well the first day I took it out I curbed the pas side rim about 1/4 of the way around. Someone wouldn't let me zipper so I just passed the car in front and got over, while doing so, going around a curve to the right there was a storm drain I did not see when deciding to pass. It was recessed obviously as it's for drainage, it threw me in to the curb... Next I drove it to the airport as I travel frequently now, rock flew up and cracked the windshield. And the pièce de résistance, I got a call from Denver PD while out in Yuma. My car had been broken into and attempted to be stole. Not a lot of damage, but still can't help be feel violated. I hate when people are in my space without my knowledge. Yes I am one of those guys. So I park in covered parking, costs my office $120 from M-F thinking there are camera's as it's a huge airport, security patrol, etc. Not a single one. I find out the ONLY reason DPD took the time to pull my plates and call me was because I have a CCW and they wanted to make sure that no weapon was stolen. I also found out they do not take prints, you still have to pay for parking, your tow truck can't come on the lot AND this happens "all the time." I couldn't believe it. So I have not been to thrilled lately. We'll see where I get with all this. Why would people want patrols or cameras covering one of their most expensive possessions while out of town? Feel your agony. It's never fun to see your baby on a flat bed. Posted April 7, 2017 Author Share Posted April 7, 2017 Thanks all, good news was I heard from the detective today and they have a suspect, who currently has an active warrant so they are working with a couple jurisdictions to catch him. He may be outsourcing his technique, as another specialist got through my back driver window last night and hit the seat down to check the rear cargo for quick sale items. Finding none, he left me with a broken window and bad taste in my mouth for the day of my very first subie meet. Hope your boy gets his day in court, as mine is long gone. Oh, well. So I decided to keep the car, sell off some of the cool stuff and just stick to a great DD. 1st someone tried to steal it. He was caught 2 weeks later and currently has court dates for June.
