  1. I'd say 1sqft should be fine. The tape is made to be used by itself. So maybe just put it where you have space. It also may be overkill...I just ran the gold tape inside the OEM shield.
  2. Here's that bracket. The secind picture showxitat the bottom right
  3. I think that broken bolt on the fender side is attached to the up pipe support bracket, (?)
  4. that's the gold heat reflecting foil on the inside of the OEM heat shield. You can also so the gold foil/tape on the underside of the tmic. On the Spec's DP I have a clamp on metal heat shield, down at the cat. I can post a photo of it later when I'm on the PC. https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecId=11221&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=1838-001&gclid=Cj0KCQjwoK2mBhDzARIsADGbjeqKbMTWLGeiPaOF9wkNbMho2XPahDk8iWvCpVbjWUKBVlr-lyAVMXQaAklCEALw_wcB
  5. I've used the gold foil for many years. Even have some on the hot side of the tmic.
  6. I hear the wagon has moved on to its new owner, hopefully he'll chime in on the forum soon. Previous owner, had to get rid of some of his toy's, needed the room.
  7. If you really have to have that exact part, maybe a junkyard. www.car-part.com Or just use a few zipties.
  8. I'll assume you have cleaned the OD on the metal really well and also the ID of the hose ? I use hose clamps made by Breeze.
  9. Heard from the new owner, he's ready to move the car on, he said it's still running great.
  10. Can you get the front lift points under the frame and not the rocker on the OBW ? I think one thought about the shorter arms is to move the heavy part of the car back a little towards the post for safety.
  11. A label, funny, I remember years ago putting a label on the floor jack, "Wheelie Bar" after forgetting to on pin it before jacking up the front of the car. LOL My son still has that jack, and the sticker is still there.
  12. Great progress. I thinking you'll want to be careful of raising the car up with the hood or trunk open.
  13. I'm sorry, did you not understand, he's talking about a turbocharged Subaru for those models he referenced. I'll add, since buying the GT wagon in late June 2004, I would always tend to coast in neutral when I could before stopping or shutting the car off. I found during my normal driving, it was easy to do. I understand with the 5eat, that might not be as easy to do. That and using a good quality oil.
  14. I think I posted the tip years ago after mounting my first GS tmic, put the hose on the tmic outlet overnight, the day before you install it. It opens that hose to the right and easy fit. Then install on ATB like you did, first.
  15. It works so well, I bought two, one for each car. SO much EASIER to R&R, then that PITA OEM coupler when working on the engine. It is not cheap though.
  16. Assuming your running the stock tmic ? That OEM connector hose is a royal PITA IMO. That's why I love the GS tmic's. Maybe talk with Grimmspeed about what will work for you.
  17. What's the issue...looks like the magnet is doing its job... LOL
  18. http://people.csail.mit.edu/ilh/vacation/ You can find it there.
  19. Did you over oil the K&N ? I ran oil coated filters in my wagon since it had 4000 or so miles on it back in Aug 2004, I lightly oil them, never had any issues. I also clean the MAF yearly, with MAF cleaner.
  20. My vf52 would begin to spool about 2400rpm, on stock injectors.
  21. The pressure bottle method has been around here for years now. I have never used it.
