Dead lgt been sitting
08SpecB_DE replied to FaderUS's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Depending how long it's been sitting, rust on the rotors can/will prevent the car from moving until you break through the initial high spot. -
A New Recall on Airbag Inflators
08SpecB_DE replied to outahere's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Looks like mine falls under this as well. I wonder how many more screws I'll be missing when they're done. They literally put about half the screws back in (nav unit missing 2, cluster and bezel, center console was not fastened down properly, etc.) I haven't got around to taking everything apart and fixing the misaligned parts so I guess I'll have to do that before I take it back. I'm going to take the service advisor out to the car prior to leaving it with them and calmly explain my foot will go up someone's ass if they **** my car up like that again. Sorry, but my interior was flawless prior to the recall and dash replacement. -
ECU Trouble codes list 05-06-07 LGT

Check for ground directly at the ecm. I like to use something like this https://www.matcotools.com/catalog/product/TH490/20-PIECE-BACK-PROBE-PINS/ I prefer going into the backside of the connector as opposed to poking holes in wires. You need to find which pin corresponds with the heater wire for that sensor at the ecm connector. -

Are you checking for ground at the ecm or at the O2 connector? If it's the latter, make sure you have ground at the ecm. If you do, you have a broken wire, if you don't it sounds like a bad driver in the ecm. What kind of O2 sensor did you install? -
Looks like someone's daughter dropped her barbie in the fish tank.

Check the strut lock nuts. My LF has come loose before and would knock over bumps. I've found TireRack to have the best pricing for the Bilstein struts.

First attempt installing ADF 2in Lift Failed
08SpecB_DE replied to NNJLegacy's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Affirmative. You can use a butane torch as well, basically whatever gets it hot (doesnt need to be red hot). You will be surprised how much easier they come off. -
First attempt installing ADF 2in Lift Failed

I've ran into this issue numerous times. I generally hit them with some mapp gas to help loosen things up. When the hex strips, I use vice grips to prevent the stud from spinning so I can take the nut off. -
The imprints are normal. I use one of these and flip the block pieces 180° then reclamp the line or lightly file. Something like this may be too much for someone doing the job once but nothing compares to using a pneumatic flaring tool. https://www.usnotion.com/transmission-72485-prc-sets-silver-blue-cooling-line-die-adapter-cutter---3-8-1-2-mastercool-plus-universal-tube-tool-flaring-hydraulic

That's crazy! Now I wonder who else sells these fake spark plugs. I bought mine from RockAuto because they were a lot cheaper than my discount at work. The picture on RockAutos website has a darker tip and the lettering doesnt look perfect but the electrode comes to a point. I also remember the plugs having the plastic shield.

Do your fans come on? Diagnosing CAN issues can be very difficult. If you can communicate with the TCM I wouldn't think that's the issue but at the same time, it dies when going into gear. My first order of diagnosing a CAN issue like that is I do a full system scan and see if communication is lost with any other modules. If you have no communication with let's say the ABS module, this is most likely going to be your problem. I'll have to look at the wiring diagram but the overheating issue could be related to the ECM. Find out if the fans come on when it gets up to temp, if they dont, check the wires to see if you're missing power or ground. For reference, I had a Veloster come in with every light on the dash except the charging system light. No communication with ABS, TPMS, SRS and a few others. The ECM had around 6 codes, all pointing in different directions. The fix? The secondary air pump went bad and shorted out the shared 5 volt reference signal. I was able to unplug the air pump and communication was restored with all modules.

Take it to a shop and have them get the car up to speed in the air. Does the noise go away when maneuvering slight left or right?

Derek's passion is preaching. Many people quit their job to follow their passion but not many get to do so while driving a Rolls Royce. Napolean Kaufman was a great RB for the Raiders who was young and retired to follow his passion....for preaching.

Raiders played well in the 1st half. They were cruising to a win but 16 unanswered points by the Jags sealed the game. The offense has had no rhythm all season. Honestly, I'm ready to move on from Carr. He doesnt have the killer instinct. He's said many times this year how he misses his kids and they're growing up and wanting him to be home. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires or is not a Raider next season.

Last game in Oakland today. I expect to see 2 sacks from Maxx Crosby and 2 TD's for Jacob's.

How to troubleshoot wiper fluid not spraying?
08SpecB_DE replied to 2charlie's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Do you see washer fluid dumping out under the car when you hit the sprayer? One of the hoses could have popped off. -
I have one, I'm in northern DE. Flanges are in great shape and so is the rest of the pipe. I can take some pics for you on Monday when I'm at work.
