WRX exhaust fitment for LGT Wagons
NORULZleggy replied to pnw_lgt's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
65K, please stay stock and just love it lol, Or go full build. You should really do a JDM setup on the car. They sound great. -
Rust line above windshield
NORULZleggy replied to 59ctd's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
yeah you have a 2009. Going back is not going to do much. It could be the age of the car they might say or something else. I would not waste my time. But GL -
Miles on the car? Has maintenance been done? Do you need to visit short block city? OTS is fine, but a protune will really make it drive better.

NORULZleggy replied to CaddyDaddy3's topic in Turbo Powertrains (2.0GT, 2.5GT, 2.5XT)
I am not sure, maybe someone can assist, but these swaps never go smooth. GL -
Dang max, you beat me to Short block city lol. Keep the Toyota for a daily. Work on what you can yourself. The car will need some work.

Groan/rattle noise on deceleration
NORULZleggy replied to GearJamr's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Mine is supper loud with my clutch/fly and mounts. Sound like a dogbox when in gear and off the gas. The shop let me know it would do it with all new stuff. Car runs great. -
5th Gen owners....who are we??
NORULZleggy replied to Scooby Fan's topic in Fifth Generation Legacy (2010 - 2014 )
Larry here I am older on the site. 2013 Black 2.5i 150k miles serviced by Ecotech performance CVT fluid changed Steel belt CVT I love the car cause it just drives. It has a bad cat, and needs new windshield. Other than that it is strong. I also have a built 06 LGT 5MT Limited from the same shop. both run great. -
Don't be surprised that you might not get close to what you think. The car is nice and in great condition, but it's an 06 5MT, and it would have to go to someone that really wants one or has cash. Most banks are not even looking at giving a loan for a 2006. I would say ask 10K but look for 8200. The market is trash because people bought cars way over sticker. it's crazy what's going on in the car buying market now.

EJ25 vs FB25
NORULZleggy replied to Smithcraft's topic in Naturally Aspirated Powertrains (2.5i, 3.0R, 3.6R)
I also have a 13 CVT legacy with the FB25. She is an oil eater lol. It does need a short block and subaru wanted to only pay half. My shop that built my LGT said check the oil every other week and change it every so often. They have bad short block but that chain motor and cvt run very well. I plan on having the short block redone and keeping it. -
New to me - '06 Legacy GT Sedan
NORULZleggy replied to adamyaws's topic in Legacy Photos (2005-2009)
Despite what people might say, these cars are reliable even at the age they are. the problem is people have gotten lazy and have lost the way of working on a car trying to figure out what might be wrong. People are so used to buying new cars and trading things in they never actually drive a car till it dies. Take care of it and you will be just fine. -
New to me - '06 Legacy GT Sedan
NORULZleggy replied to adamyaws's topic in Legacy Photos (2005-2009)
Do not I repeat DO NOT Modify this car . You have a nice gem on your hands, and I would just drive it and maintain it. This was a great buy and find. I tell people all the time, these cars are the forgotten. People want a WRX or STI, but the LGT is the way to go. -
Best aftermarket exhaust for around $600
NORULZleggy replied to SIDrive's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Check out Nameless performance. It is about 800, I have it on my tuned Gt and I like it. save up a few more bills or eat tuna and you will be set. -
This is why it took me about 3 years to build mine. I bought all the parts when sales came around, and saved up money so i was not hurting when the time came to sed her off. By the way the moroso oil pickup is legit with stock pan. I know people want KB cause the name and that what people see other, but I went a different route and it's fine. In the long run if you're going to keep the car it's cheaper than buying these new hunks of junk with no heart. they all look the same and are overpriced.

Head unit upgrade
NORULZleggy replied to dadwagon919's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
I will have to find the place I bought mine from, but the guy will make a full plug and play harness for a JDM DD kit. All I did was plug it all in and it worked.
