  1. This is why I have a daily driver ford taurus. My legacy GT is for fun fast driving. I did not buy it to be a comfort car. It's loud, the trans is loud, brutal when the external gate opens, and I love it.
  2. I totally agree with you on this. That tank needs some more power. They are nice, I was at the auto show last weekend and was sitting in one. But I need a bigger motor in that thing.
  3. 65K, please stay stock and just love it lol, Or go full build. You should really do a JDM setup on the car. They sound great.
  4. yeah you have a 2009. Going back is not going to do much. It could be the age of the car they might say or something else. I would not waste my time. But GL
  5. Miles on the car? Has maintenance been done? Do you need to visit short block city? OTS is fine, but a protune will really make it drive better.
  6. I am not sure, maybe someone can assist, but these swaps never go smooth. GL
  7. Dang max, you beat me to Short block city lol. Keep the Toyota for a daily. Work on what you can yourself. The car will need some work.
  8. Still on my 2006 windshield also lol. it's also pitted, my 2013 Legacy needs one lol. going to get it down in a few months.
  9. It's your senor on your pedal. try to unplug the gas pedal and wait, then plug it back in. I have had this same problem and bought a new pedal assembly from Subaru and I was golden. I could be wrong
  10. Mine is supper loud with my clutch/fly and mounts. Sound like a dogbox when in gear and off the gas. The shop let me know it would do it with all new stuff. Car runs great.
  11. I would not have even thought about it. I would have sent it back also. You never know. and what's 700 when you're spending as much as you have lol. To me it's part of the game.
  12. You want just a hair bigger than a VF52 and you will be happy, I went from a fresh OEM VF52 to a so called GT25 turbo (this is a mix between a 16g/18g) Tuned right you will have a blast. I am tuned more towards the max side without killing the motor.
  13. Larry here I am older on the site. 2013 Black 2.5i 150k miles serviced by Ecotech performance CVT fluid changed Steel belt CVT I love the car cause it just drives. It has a bad cat, and needs new windshield. Other than that it is strong. I also have a built 06 LGT 5MT Limited from the same shop. both run great.
  14. Don't be surprised that you might not get close to what you think. The car is nice and in great condition, but it's an 06 5MT, and it would have to go to someone that really wants one or has cash. Most banks are not even looking at giving a loan for a 2006. I would say ask 10K but look for 8200. The market is trash because people bought cars way over sticker. it's crazy what's going on in the car buying market now.
  15. I also have a 13 CVT legacy with the FB25. She is an oil eater lol. It does need a short block and subaru wanted to only pay half. My shop that built my LGT said check the oil every other week and change it every so often. They have bad short block but that chain motor and cvt run very well. I plan on having the short block redone and keeping it.
  16. Despite what people might say, these cars are reliable even at the age they are. the problem is people have gotten lazy and have lost the way of working on a car trying to figure out what might be wrong. People are so used to buying new cars and trading things in they never actually drive a car till it dies. Take care of it and you will be just fine.
  17. Do not I repeat DO NOT Modify this car . You have a nice gem on your hands, and I would just drive it and maintain it. This was a great buy and find. I tell people all the time, these cars are the forgotten. People want a WRX or STI, but the LGT is the way to go.
  18. I would not go with GFB, I had a customer call me and tell me it was trash. I swapped it out for the Turbosmart and he loved it. i run that one also. Great price and quality built.
  19. Check out Nameless performance. It is about 800, I have it on my tuned Gt and I like it. save up a few more bills or eat tuna and you will be set.
  20. This is why it took me about 3 years to build mine. I bought all the parts when sales came around, and saved up money so i was not hurting when the time came to sed her off. By the way the moroso oil pickup is legit with stock pan. I know people want KB cause the name and that what people see other, but I went a different route and it's fine. In the long run if you're going to keep the car it's cheaper than buying these new hunks of junk with no heart. they all look the same and are overpriced.
  21. I will have to find the place I bought mine from, but the guy will make a full plug and play harness for a JDM DD kit. All I did was plug it all in and it worked.
