I am guessing your talking about me on the two clamps. I can remove the 2nd clamp I just put it on for peace of mind. I do agree with you on the AN with no barbed fittings. I did not do the install of the lines but I will make sure to get them taken car of. From what I can tell the hose that was one there was fine it was just that smooth clamp that that was the problem. The car does start right up with out delay and runs better. Any advice an what i should get replaced or done I will get it going. Please chime in more. I was happy I was not putting it on a trailer again. lol Thanks

JDM DD for the Win. I had the same issue. pull the trigger on it. -
So I let the car sit overnight, Hit the Gym and then came back home to fix the car. I started out with the small 7-inch hose at the top of the Green Radium FPR and was leaking from both sides bad. I went with stock gator clamps. Started the car back up and there was no leak from that area at all. Then I really wanted to make sure, so i started it up again and saw a very small leak where you see the double gator clamp. I now have no leaks at all, and the car now starts on the first key turn. I think that might have been my problem for a while. It would never start on the first turn, but now it fires right up strong! This problem seems to be those smooth clamps that you can see on the fuse box. I had to remove all of them and add stock now gator clamps, also I added a new fuel line below. It did not look like a fuel line. All is good so far; I am going to run it down the road and get some 93 and see it there is a leak. I think I am good; I gave it some revs and saw nothing. It seems to run much better. Also, my car always smelled bad like gas, and this seems to have fixed the problem. Note: I have ID 1000s ID Rails STi Radium Engineering KIT with their FPR and gauge All fuel lines and pump

Need the Fams help, I have a Hose from my FPR that has backed out a little and just enough my car shit out half a tank of gas on while driving. I was able to limp the car home and park it outside away from my house just incase. Is there anything special that I need to do to fix this? I figure just let the car sit for a few days, then remove the hose clamp and put new one on. The car has no gas cause it's on my hood and engine bay lol. I am so happy my nice hood cover soaked up the gas and most leaked out on the ground. I want to fix this myself and get the car back on the road. Any advice please chime in. I can see where it is leaking from easy.

Leave it stock and it will run for ever . I have my VF52 all modified also, and it sings so nice . Almost like a mini supra when I have the windows down and the radio off. Car is very fun to drive. Get the parts and a great tune and you will be happy.

Yep I run the same 5w-40 once Max mentioned it even though I been selling and running it forever. I have the EZ drain valve also on all my cars. I love it. Try the Toyo Roku filters also for our cars. I have a bunch of those the Amsoil filters. I run my Amsoil now since they were out of stock for a year. But free is free so use that.

Cmon Amsoil is not that bad price wise if you know a few people on here wink wink. lol FYI I ran the Ea 20k filter on my old 08 for 21k miles and had not problems, that was a test to see if it would hold up and it did. I run my LGT amsoil filter for 15k miles but change the oil every 5k. Just got to eat tune for a week.

08+ STI Black Calipers do not fit the rear 2005-6 LGT with KNS brackets So I had an interesting day at the shop Getting my 08+ STI brakes installed. First It's a shame my Enkie 17x8s will not fit and I have to sell them (I never liked them, and they have 600 miles on the setup) do not fit so I have to put on my nice Gold wheels which I love! So for those who want to do it right, the fronts will bolt up, but the rear 08+ with KNS brake brackets or other brackets on the market we tried do not fit. the reason why is because it needs to be the calipers that are gold from a GR chassis car not a GD for the 05-06 LGT. So I have my fronts on the car, and they are working so damn well, but the shop called another shop, and they have a massive CNC machine and are going to custom make the brackets so I can fit the black STI calipers to the car with ease. The reason for this is because the holes do not line up. You can cut corners and do the ghetto way, but these are brakes for your car not a 10 speed bike. I did call and talk to KNS brakes while I was at the shop, and they told me I bought the wrong calipers and we all laughed and said you did not do good R&D because these do not make it so you can fit 08+ calipers to the rear of a legacy. Also this shop does these conversion all the time and mentioned there is no such thing as the wrong calipers.

Never, I mean NEVER removed those tapes. If you do the car will never work again. I wish I found this. I think that will be my next project is to try to find one of these and buy it. Nice find. -
Tuning with deletes
NORULZleggy replied to Bobsyouruncl's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
You can get tuned just fine with what you have, you just need to know where to go. I got tuned when all this Cobb crap was already going on. Cars is great via AP3. -
The headlights are a custom job done by a guy in Florida, I ordered all of the LED strips and halos, and had him do the install. He did not do a good job at all on sealing them, so I will not give you his name. They are what you call a floating halo, at sunset or on a darker day, they are So bright and look really cool. There is a company that sells them, and they do top work, they would be like 800. I have talked to them about doing another set, but these work very good despite the seal problem that I had to take care of. I did not want to halo to switch back so I just have the corner strip. I do like them.

It's just odd, Runs great one day the next she acts up. I hooked up the AP this time to see and all looked good. Boost is great, car runs smooth till I push it. I was just out in the parking lot again hahaha, and it revs good in neutral, seems to be in gear. I did not want to hit the road while I was at work and have it go limp. I will report back. Can't lose to this STI after work , might need to order a new short block before I leave work bahahaah.

Did I tell you how much I love these cars lol, Drove the car to work Tuesday drove great and ewag was sounding great. Drove the car today and it runs fine with CC at 75, So I decided to be a cool guy and give it half throttle in third and it started stumbling so I let out . Got on a back road in 2nd and eased into it and it started stumbling again . Got to work pooped the hood, checked IC pipes and they are solid. My buddy was there with his STI and we are going to test a few things out at work. I am going to push it a bit on the way home to see if it clears up. This old gal has a spicy attitude today lol. I am also going to clean the MAF, and add some cleaner P.I to the gas. I think I should not has went to the station by my house, I never go there for the 93. Any ideas on what to check out while I am looking? No check engine lights hahaah.

Legacy with controversial modifications
NORULZleggy replied to KarlAllen's topic in Pre-purchase Questions
Run as far as you can from this car, and tell your friend sorry. His fiscal problems are not yours. You could do what I do when people need some help, offer 500 cash take it or leave it. I have got some golden things doing that. It's about business, got to look out for me. Just my 2cents -
I did check tirerack, I just did not see the 17x8 TS-5 wheels offered for the 2004 STI. I know the TS-10s will fit. I am going to drive the car to the shop with the TS-5s and have the spacers to see. they will test fit to see if the wheel fits fine first. If it does Then I have a nice set of ISC 25mm wheel spacers . I could put then on my other legacy or sell them. Wish me luck.
