  1. My v3 has all the stage two maps mine car is a 2005 not sure what year yours is. Anyone know how to back up the maps from the AP I would be rather scared to plug it into cob software right now Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  2. Pre face lift RPB sedans easily best legacy there is Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  3. I got some OEM top feed TGV's lol There is always those old school 02 sensor spacers lol. Im thinking the best option is for anyone above a basic stage two is to sell their accesport (specially ones that have stage 2 loaded) Sell your own tvg's if you have them. Bite the built and go link or mega squirt and never worry about this BS again Really would like a refund for my dam flex kit though. Flex fuel is the real breaking point, at least until someone starts tuning it in open source Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  4. You're lucky my preferred shop will not go the ECU tek route. It's pony up for link or go else where. Tough decision there is a reputable remote tuner that will do ECU tek 750 for cable and license 550 for Tune 700 for their compatible flex fuel kit Or 1250 for the link Think they can make Cobb flex fuel kit work but will have to pay shop rate for the wiring and trouble shooting so big ? 750 for the tune Doubt anyone will buy my accesport now or the intake and box , I guess I mild build it would be ok. Third option, put the stock fueling and turbo back on, flash stage two OTS tune Sell car and turbo , injectors, FPR, damper , and tgv and buy Porsche Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  5. Also the problem gets worse for newer Subarus because they stopped open source development and there is no new ECU definitions for the newer models. So even though us legacy and older sti and WRX guys have some open source option it's a bigger problem than just us. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  6. The problem is all the talented software engineers got scooped up by cobb and open source development halted. Most of the best tuners also went to Cobb platform around the same time. ECUtek is still an option and used by Delicious Tuning I spoke with them yesterday , will cost you over 700 with the cable and ECU license, and the Cobb flex fuel kit is not compatible. They however were super responsive and helpful. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  7. What did you have to remove to get to the pan rear bolts , I cant for the life of me see a way to get to those back bolts without removing a pile of stuff. Also pro tip , get a hair dryer out and heat that bad boy up along the sealing edge before you give it a pry Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  8. My local shop seems very confident about using the link , waiting to hear back but he thinks he may even have one in stock that will work. I'm guessing with these changes the pin out compatibility and some work flows for getting it running correctly will be available very soon. Part of me is considering just putting stock turbo and injectors and turbo back on , throwing a ap staged canned tune on it and selling it and buying the boxster I have been eyeing. Getting kinda frustrated. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  9. The only upside to this is the link is a much better platform and requires actual tuning ability. These dealers will not just be able to load some map they have used 1000 times tweak one or two things and call it a pro tune. You will be able to tell who actually know what they are doing by the ones who supports and tuned stand alone like link and haltech Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  10. Cobb has disabled their phone tech support due to all the phone calls lol Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  11. I can't even look at my Cobb shift knob now without throwing shit , that has to go also Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  12. They did say the can rewire my flex fuel kit but essentially the only part that will be used is the actual sensor I could have bought for like 50 bucks lol, the Cobb module is useless Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  13. They are forcing the software update to all dealers as we speak, if you get a tune now they will not support it in the future , software will force them to "correct" any of the features they are disabling. Be warned link ECU is about 1k Cobb is 600 save yourself the trouble now Just got off the phone with a very reputable dealer/tuner. Link ECU is the only way to go if you want flex fuel or any messing with emissions features. To make it worse all the maps in the future will be carb compliant and subject to epa standards and testing. Expect the tunes themselves aside from emissions testing and control to be very vanilla. Cobb is dead Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  14. Local shop moving to link ECU for anything but the blandest of tunes I'm told. Also looking like my flex fuel kit is a ******* paper weight I will have an unmarried Cobb v3 access port and intake and box for sale if anyone is interested. Like brand new Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks , I also have tgv, deletes, 16g turbo , and ID 1050s . Need a custom tune, so disappointing was looking forward to Dyno tune at local shop We need a post of current open source tuners I guesse Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  16. O great almost finished with by build and it's a ******* paper weight now, they just sold be there flex kit they no longer support less than 6 months ago , this is unbelievable Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  17. Ya as others have stated probably a fueling issue , caused by what I can't say. What I'm pretty sure of is if I'm my 177k mile stock car tolerated the lighter single mass flywheel your car should as well. I also didn't mention but I ran the same setup on bone stock no tune before I flashed and didn't have any issue either Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  18. Also worth noting I have a stage 1 clutch and WRX aluminum single mass flywheel, significantly lighter than OEM and I have no issue , but do require a throttle body relearn Every time I disconnect the battery Stage one OTS tune Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  19. The symptoms in regards to stallling and air fuel chasing while not under load, are exactly what my car does after a battery disconnect and needed a throttle body relearn. No idea if this is at all related to your issue but what you are describing sounds awfully familiar Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  20. If it makes you feel any better , I want to do the exact thing at some point even though I know it will make absolutely no difference Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  21. If I wanted any lower than stock ride height that is the direction I would have gone Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  22. 525 bucks in cost me for all new OEM spec kyb struts, front and rear mounts, and the saggy but spacers. Koni seems to be the choice for most but you need to cut up your old struts and the cost is significantly higher Almost no one goes with the OEM replacement not really sure why as I have read more than one person that isn't a fan of the konis If you really don't want any lowering and it isn't a track car or has a need for stiffer ride I don't see the point of anything but OEM. Seems more like a WRX thing trying to stiffen it up. That is what is great about the leggy, WRX power and nice smooth ride. I fear nor really feel most speed bumps , pot holes or dirt and gravel roads I went thru this whole debate my self and am happy I went the direction I did Just my two cents Including some pics , stock 177k Mile springs with new struts and mounts, 1/2 Saggy butt spacers, and one inch wheel spacers Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  23. For got mention I also have 1/2 Saggy butt spacers Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  24. I did stock springs and new kyb OEM replacement struts and mounts If you are coming from worn struts it's a huge difference and ride height is perfect for Subaru snow and dirt road shananagins Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  25. Lol I wish I saw this before I bought a turbo, injectors, rails, lines and tgv's lol Free bump Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
