Hey guys, i'm back. All projects were put on hold for a little while as I got married in June. I also bought a DD that needed some work so I spent some time on that. We are back in the shop now and proceeding with work.

Just so I didn't come back empty handed here is a small update. The pictures below show the following.

LGT OEM Rear Brake Dust Shield

300ZX NA Bearing Housing

300ZX 5x114.3 Hub

300ZX Turbo Rear Rotor

LGT OEM Rear Caliper and Pads

18x10 5x114.3 +22 FR500 Wheels

This image shows the 300ZX Bearing housing and LGT Dust shield. The red marks are where the bolt holes had to be slightly shaved

Everything mounted up on the spindle. All 4 bolts fit after the slight shave but only 2 are in there as its just a test fit.

Brake Caliper and Pads mounted, Only the top bolt of the caliper bracket is threaded in. Will have to modify the bottom mounting point to bring the caliper bracket out as the 300ZX rotor is about 8mm bigget than the LGT rotor

I may use the 240 flares that the others have used to save time now but the end goal is to weld in some nice flares and smooth them out so they flow with the car

The ford 8.8 rear end is very stout. I believe they come in a 3.27 ratio in the cobra mustang but 3.23 may be available.

If you go the R200 route as me, your closest ratio is going to be a 3.3 from 350z/g35

I'm going to get flack for this, but please don't do a solid rear axle setup. The LGT is really nice as an IRS car, and some of that will certainly be lost going solid rear. Plenty of people have figured out how to not break things on a powerful R160 rear.

I hope the guy is allright.

I mean he has been super active with posting about it, until the driveshaft part.

Seems like that's all it needs is a custom driveshaft made to fit.

Either money or family emergency haulted progress I'm assuming.
