  1. This is an awesome development. I have been wanting to do this on my truck as my landlord owns a propane dispensing business so I have it close by
  2. So basically space the subframe away from the frame rail so it lowers the subframe, steering rack and lower control arm together?
  3. Yeah, I am thinking of dropping the rack a bit with custom brackets and making new tie rod ends to eliminate bumpsteer. That are of my pan is actually thinner then a LS7 dry sump pan.
  4. That's not too bad. I am working on rack mounting on mine and have some interference with my current mockup of the engine. I have worked hard to not have to move the rack but not I am faced with either dropping rack about 1.5 in or cutting and welding into the oil pan to make an indentation. I have attached a pic to show where I stand. What do you think?
  5. I have been trying to go through the whole thread little by little but my current question is oil pan clearance and did you have any interference?
  6. This is an awesome build an I applaud the level of thought you have put into it. The 3.8 is one of my all time favorite engines and I have pushed one in Bonneville to almost 300k. I am going a similar route but will be converting to rwd in order to fit a V8. Your thread has provided much inspiration
  7. Just as a side note, I had a busted boot on an axle this weekend and didn't want to wait on the dealer. I went to the local part stores but nobody had a boot. I ended up asking them to give me a boot for a 2000 legacy and they gave me a unifit one for that year. I cut off the outside universal ring and it fit perfectly on mine. In case anyone needs one locally, here is the info: https://www.dormanproducts.com/cgi-bin/vm91corp30r/item-dtl.w?sid=dldajUcawcdiYYki009810735825467604&item=614-001&icrid=&clt=hwrap1&vsrch_str=614-001&vsrch_brand=ALL&vsrch_cat=ALL&st_amount=&end_amount=&start=&vfrom=&prev=&vnext=&category_list=:0:0
