Shooting for 10's on my daily driver

Heads are fully cleaned out I'm going to try and have a fully assembled short block done over the weekend. And if I have time start to drop it into the car. It's time to let this beast breathe after over a year off

I washed it up yesterday to prep for the motor install. After a year if sitting she still cleans up nicely! Ready to have it move again, pushing it in and out of the garage was no fun.

I don't know if any of y'all use the rock auto web store but they have crazy cheap subaru timing kits on there and it's the nice gates kit that has the Kevlar belt. And you can buy timing components individually if you don't need a whole kit. Just thought I would share the wealth.

So I was going to use the factory oil cooler, but it costs close to $300 so I've decided to make my own oil cooler and relocate my filter too so that the headers don't bake my oil. This should also increase my oil capacity to around 6-7 quarts with the stock oil pan and leave the oil much cooler than the stock cooler does. Ill post up pics soon as parts arrive next week. As for the rest of my motor the only thing slowing me down is waiting on parts to roll in.

Turbo and the new timing components are on. Bout to put in the cam seals, then the pullies, and put it in timing. Just moving right along, I'm finally at the point that I don't have to order any more parts. Just waiting on the oil cooler to arrive, then it's going in the car. Finally after a year and a half I'm getting close!!
