SpecBamf41
yes thank you. my goal it to keep the fog lights. gonna elbow down below them and use that tiny area between the bumper lip and the fog like opening. also gonna open the air damn up as much as possible on the bumper. eekay
What intercooler setup are you using? Looks like you were able to keep the fogs in there... That's the only reason I haven't gone front-mount yet. My 9.3 cups EJ22 makes me feel like my **** is 2.8 decimeters!
SpecBamf41
i dont have the hoses on yet. but im shooting for a elbow down at each end of the intercooler and go below the fogs. right now my car just looks like it is making shit loads of power. its still a stock car. SpecBamf41
the staights will be aluminum. just with all the bends i'll use couplers. only addvantage to aluminum is airflow. and silicon setups dont add crazy amounts of drag. subikid90
Have you every welded aluminum? If not dont make this your first project. Who needs bends when you can pie cut everything lol -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
SpecBamf41
i would just be doing the tacs. unless i get crazy good at tig welding i would not even try to weld this thin stuff. im still debating up what direction i should flow the air though the intercool. finding the right angle and position for the turbo to sit in the car is pretty hard when im trying to hold it up with one hand and measure with the other. i def need some help making the bracket to hold the turbo up. damn thing is like 20-25 pounds. subikid90
Use Zip-Ties, sounds stupid but it works -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
SpecBamf41
how would you use zip ties? edit, o for holding the turbo in place while i fab up mounts. though you ment for the ic piping. BNR18g on 93oct
eekay
Haha. The zip ties will definitely work. I used thin rope but it was the same concept... Getting the up-pipe to match up was a pain in the anus without the turbo being supported by SOMETHING. My 9.3 cups EJ22 makes me feel like my **** is 2.8 decimeters!
