My legacy isn't a GT- yet. Any advice?

I have big plans for my legacy 5 speed- intake, exhaust, turbo, blow-off, accessport, etcetera. But as it stands now it is just a 165 horse 4 cyl 5 spd. No one seems willing to tell me where i should start or how to get it converted to a turbo. Can anyone help me? Has anyone done this? The greater detail the better. Thanks guys.

No one seems willing to tell you where to start? Huh? This is your first post.

Why does this keep happening?

Sell the car.

Buy LGT.

The reason people aren't telling you where you should start is because you shouldn't start. If you want a turbo Legacy, sell your 2.5i and get a GT. There's no reason to re-invent the wheel in this case.

AVO does make a bolt-on kit for $3200 plus shipping. If you are absolutely set on doing this, just buy that and be done.

There are endless versions of this thread already as the 4th gen has been around PLENTY long for other 2.5i owners to get GT envy and think they are going to turn their car into a GT. Makes more sense to build a 2.5 RS STI; you can't just buy one of those. You can trade your n/a for a GT far cheaper than you can make one.

Posting on a topic that is constantly posted ad infinitum to rediculousness; THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN ANYWAY, tend to make OP the butt of a joke. I suggest you start searching/reading.

This.

Build something you cannot buy: Epic

Spend more money building than buying something easily available off the shelf: Fail

Honestly, I have more respect for people who want to build 250hp n/a Subies than those who want to turbo n/a ones.

I thought SPT sold an accessory that took care of this

A key fob with "STFUn00b" tooled into the leather?

Mine says "Go on, start the engine, I dare you"
