Infamous1
I can hit a meet. No LGT to drive right now. But, I have the "Infamous Performance" mobile repair truck. Its getting some style tomorrow... the M sprank way. Slamming it 4-5 inches, throwing on some 17x8.5's, dropping in 2x10's and 2000watts, plus some bling, bling. Gotta represent. Now for some tuning. Come on Infamous, lets rock this 2.4l 4banger. Now you know im up for that!

Check these before and afters out. Very busy day for me. Did it all between 5am and 6pm. Now I need to detail it tomorrow.

m sprank
Thanks. My first mini truck. Its a 2.4l 4banger so I figured going "Cali style" was the thing to do. Drop it in the dirt. I hooked up the system to the OEM headunit before installing the Kenwood. Bass sooo strong it made the CD's skip. Kenwood is mounted better. System is 2x JL10W6V2 (in ported enclosure tuned to 33hz) HiFonics Brutus 1700.1d at 1ohm HiFonics Zeus 40.4 (bridged to 2 ch) Polk MM 6.5" Coaxials Kenwooed Excelon KDC-X794 Hits a sweet note. MiniStiGuy
wow 1ohm good thing you know how to ground correctly... OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
m sprank
Power wire is ZERO Gauge. Ground is Zero Gauge. Ground is shorter than 1 foot and placed into block mounted through the floor of the truck. 250amp circuit breaker under the hood, fused distribution block 1 foot off the cap. Everything is safe, have no fear. Everything except your hearing, lol.
MiniStiGuy
so @ 1ohm you are pumping a nice 1700 watts I remember the days when I had big stereo's. After having so many stolen i finally decided to just stick with stock stuff. I actually like the setup I have in the legacy right now somewhat. 07 headunit Infinity kappa components in front polk 6501 in the rear with the SRS on it helps get some more low and mid range to the speakers as was needed with the damn 05 headunit. It's nothing compared to my past setups but it's not that bad. I just am debating through insulating the doors more or not now. I have matting between the panels and doors but of course there is always more that can be done as you know. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
dwolson2
M spRank do you have any capacitors on your system? I have the 2005D hifonics, just a 1 farad cap, but I love that amp!
MiniStiGuy
he has a 2 farad capacitor just behind the drivers seat you can see it in the 3rd to last picture. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro

m sprank
Thanks G. Its really a "budget" system. Just a lot of bang for the buck. The most expensive thing was the woofers. But they are left overs for me. A breakdown; 2 Farad cap (got at Frys for $9 on sale, yeah $9) Wire, circuit breaker, fuses, distribution blocks, etc. (darvex.com, been buying from Trail for years. Maybe $150). Kenwood Excelon KDC-794 (Ebay special for $150). HiFonics Brutus 1700.1D (yeah I have it at 1ohm so 1700watts carsteroeonline.com for $250) HiFonics Zues 40.4 (Amazon.com for $175). Enclosure (Home Depot an UFO, cost me about $50 in materials) JL10W6V2 (Ebay again, $250 each, but I already had them) Polk MM 6.5 coaxials (110 from Amazon). So total for system = approx $1400 Not too bad since it can hit a good 130+db. Listen long enough and wax runs out your ears.

itsme
that's a smokin' deal! nice find. Now I'm going to see about rebuilding my old tranny. I'm going to get a LSD front diff and heard that I can get a STi 5mt center diff. I'm going to try to beef up the stock tranny. So it can hold my massive POWER!!!!! m sprank
is it a KA24DE? Yes. Already have an intake, exhaust and Crower cams coming. If it works out ok and the motor looks good (after I see inside when I swap cams) it might just end up the only Frontier KA24DE-T in Cali. I already know turbo exhaust manifolds with flange for DSM turbo and BOV are only $150. DP can be made cheap. Thats what I call gettin crazy wit da cheese wiz.
