  1. no need to rush, they stated they will leave that price till Dec 25th.
  2. There is the buckmarks on our ca roster. Not the newest one but the model before that.
  3. two races in and two pit incidents with premature releases..... geez, maybe this whole pit release system needs to be overhauled by each team.
  4. well i'm in CA, i'm not gonna fight back for IL. i got my own anti-gun laws to worry about. even if the version 2 potentially coming out? i think it is called the 806 bren 2? seems to offer some upgrades that people have complaints about in the 805 bren.
  5. i want something non-ar15 that still uses stanag mags and shoots 556/223 so i don't have to buy different ammo caliber or buy different magazines. debating between the 805 bren or galil ace 556.
  6. Ammo trays are cheap. Heck you can easily get them free from the local range trash bin. You only need to have like 5 to 10 trays
  7. It is up to the state to prove u didnt own it before 2000, plus since the punishment is a misdemeanor, the statue of limitations is 3 years. So the state has to prove u bought, imported, manufactured that +10 mag within the last 3 years.
  8. So nj is going ca stupid with the 10 rd limit? Welcome to my world. Well at least in ca possession of+10 rd mags is still legal so u just have to get some then plead the 5th, as only buying selling importing or manufacturing +10rd mags is illegal in ca unless you are a cop then most gun control laws dont apply as they write in exemptions for cops
  9. More reason it is jail bait
  10. The two outfits are local to socal so I doubt you guys have heard of them First was http://www.stcrispian.com Then current is https://artifexcc.com I know that self training has limitations, but maybe part of the problem is that I dont take enough time between classes to really practice the things that get taught in the classes before I take the next one. But either way in the end, if I am feeling like I am not learning anything, I should take a step back and self evaluate before I waste more money.
  11. Dunno if my expectations are too high or forums/youtube has skewed my views or the training outfits I choose are bad but I have gotten disillusioned with taking gun training. I feel like with the good free info out on the web, the goals I want to achieve in terms of guns proficiency, can be obtained without spending the hundreds on these classes, but just through self practice.
  12. Is this right before they move to the scissor position?
  13. No head exploding here in cali. The anti-gun politicians and state AG stopped it the same day silencerco released it for sale. 2 other states too. We still cant own a "moderated" musket. Ca has own laws on suppressors and what is considered a firearm that is different than ATF. Actually most of us ca gun guys that were looking into this knew it wouldnt be legal in ca and that silencerco didnt do proper ca gun law research. They thought the ATF ruling was all they needed. I mean we got politicians like this guy That literally says they will make laws whether or not if it is constitutional cause they dont care.
  14. these two statements from you contradict each other. even the lawyer you are using isn't 100% sure on how a local DA will go with these new laws until there is a case. either way. you got your interpretations on how to stay within the law, and i've got mine. and yes, i never listen to FFL's concerning gun laws, nor even about guns. they are just there to process my DROS paperwork, and some suck even at doing that.
  15. for the 80% ar lowers, they are all still legal as long as upon completion they are built into configurations that are currently legal, locked magazine (cannot remove magazine unless gun is rendered inoperable by way of opening up the action or featureless (no pistol grip, no flash hider, no collapsible buttstock). you cannot register 80% built lowers into the AW registry unless they were completed and configured prior to Jan 1 2017. (But since 80% are by nature hard to track, if you bought an 80% last year, who is to say you also didn't finish it last year? ) concerning changing parts of your registered AW rifle, i think you are taking the super cautious side as fact. currently there is nothing in the law that says you can't change parts after registration. All they are asking for currently is pictures of how the gun currently sits. nothing in the law states anything about keeping the rifle in the exact same configuration afterwards. if you use the prior AW registration as guidance, all those rifles that were registered are allowed to change anything short of the serialized part. if the DOJ tries to make it more strict (which they are not allowed to do) then 2A lawyer groups will file suit, and it would make it easier to argue that this law is unconstitutional and get struck down. i think you need to visit calguns and read the laws section of the forum before you cling to the doom & gloom outlook you have and conform to exactly what the anti-gunners want.
  16. Well thats not good. I have one mounted on my 20in barrel ar15 built as a wannabe spr that I haven't shot yet. (Been lagging on getting the lower coated and engraved) Guess i'll find out how bad it is when I do finally shoot it Oh I also signed up for my first uspsa club match this weekend. Thought I would try my skills at the pistol game to see how bad I suck. Haha. I'm gonna focus myself more on accuracy not speed and getting the muscle memory built up before pushing speed. As my training instructors said, you can never miss fast enough.
  17. For some reason I dont remember riverside being that expensive nor taking that long. U sure u got the stats right? Even oc county doesnt take that long nor cost that much
  18. There is no way someone who is of sound mind thinks that is ok when they were putting on the shorts...
  19. Huh, didnt know that. Guess since in CA where suppressors are illegal I never had to come across this..... Thanks for the info.
  20. Why are you using rocksett on muzzle device? I use anti-seize on mine
  21. Ill take the blonde u can have the pack
  22. Please cite a source as no one on calguns have heard of this requirement from the regs Edit: it seems your new info applies only to assault weapons permit holders, not registered assault weapons. Permit holders are a different class of people than the average gun owner that has to register their new assault weapons.
  23. If shtf in CA the most likey scenario is earthquake. If the freeways/roads get taken out between my work and my home I would feel better to have my pistol at side. I have zero fantasy dreams of being a hero and pulling a gun to stop a robber or terrorist. My first duty is to find safety and escape from the danger. I am not a cop, I will not risk my life to save little timmy from jidhadi jim. I am a person that took the best available step in self protection without being able to obtain a chl due to stupid anti-2a politics.
  24. And I am in california also. I also lucc (locked unloaded conceal carry) a pistol when going to work. I have to leave it in the car as work has no weapons policy but otherwise also legal w/o ccw license. Since california doesnt have a destination requirement for firearms. As long as u r traveling from one legal place to another and follow all transporting laws it is gtg Sprank for a guy with the amount of guns u do I would have thought u would be more well versed in CA gun laws
  25. I have loaded magazines in the same bag as my guns. Of course not in the weapon just in their own compartment and have the whole bag locked
