Nice Job, the car looks great! I just ordered a lip from D1 also...but i have to wait 1 more month for school to end, then i can DIY my honeycomb grill and this lip!

Is it a photographic aberration/distortion, or is the driver side of the lip "flatter" (more horizontal) than the passenger side?

no its the pic. i spent a long long time measuring and re measuring making sure both sides were "equal" to each other. if i took a pic head on youd see the sides are identical, but since im cocked to the side it appears to be off center. good eye bud lol

^ Ah, gotcha. That's what I thought, that the optics on your cameraphone must've done something strange, as, so-far, no-one else had said anything about a potential problem of the sort. :)

Looking good! :)

Here's mine:

Front center section bulges out a bit, and doesn't lay flat like the sti style lip, but I love how it looks. No heating on my install, just a lot of self tapping screws to hold the angles in place. I'm getting the lip painted to match the body color for a cleaner look.

^ That's the minimum - but if you wanted it to look better, you'll want to fill the cut ends, to "cap them off," essentially.

The non-conforming openings (much more for the '05-'07s than the '08-'09s) won't be a top-priority, unless you plan on showing the car and/or tend to be OCD, yourself, and just can't bear the thought of things not being "just right." ;)

^ I'm not a show-guy, nor [that] OCD either....

But that end-cap is going to be something that you'll notice is there (since you already know that it's there, trust me, your eyeballs won't listen to your "I'm just not gonna look at it" tries ), virtually every time you step out of the car.

The good thing?

It's in a place that's easy to get to, and I'd be willing to bet that as long as you're careful and good at playing with Bondo, you may even be able to cap it off while it's still resident on the car/bumper.

Buying which?

Everyone crimpin my style..

This will require a bit more modifications as the finned areas have a slight curve toward the ground. When I chop off the access I also plan to trim the edges so there a bit more straight. Then some FG and some bondo followed by a nice coat of flat black.

Should look great once its all done. But the orginal test fit is on and it looks great!!

Ohh and I need to clear my headlights too!!!!

Fit looks good, but the styling looks really out of place IMHO. It looks awkward by itself due to its size, some aftermarket rocker panels or at least spats would go a long way in tying the lip into the car I think. Just my opinion.

How's the fitment underneath? Does it have those two "holes" where the bottom of the bumper-skin takes the upward turn on the '05-'07?

I like how that looks, but I'm in agreement with captainhook, something seems out-of-proportion with it...maybe the upturned "winglets" on the ends are too big?

Hard to pin down.....

Definitely, some more bottom-of-vehicle aero accessories would help bring the look together. :)

Here it is on my 09. It looks awesome in person!! Where the 05 had a little bit of gap in the middle, I had to trim about 2" off of each side so it would tuck up nicely in the center of the bumper. I used a dremmel to smooth it out.

I will take better pics tomorrow, cause as you can see it's dark outside. :p

Did you have to trim off the area in the wheel well?

Also which vendor did you get your lip from. I searched for BestRacingMotorsports on Ebay but could not find them.
