I've got 107K on my 97 GT.

Just thought I'd add this story in here..

I went to Napa the other day and i was wearing my subaru shirt for work and she tells me shes got a 99 Leggy GT and she HATES it because the dealer didnt even look over the car and it needed so much work.

She bought it for 9,000...after taxes and all that it came to almost 14,000..

the car had 250K on it..+ all the work that it needed thousands of dollars later

SUCH A BAD DEAL!

WOW, she got ripped off, i lust bought a 208k mile 99 GT limited with alot of issues (not all that we even knew about) for $2,600

I got a 95 L sedan 5spd with 190k and blown struts for $1200 :) A customer came into my friends shop with a 99 outback they had just bought and it needed almost $8k in work, engine and tranny were both toast.

91,000...June 2009 (when purchased)

98,000...February 2010

101,500...June 2010

103,000...August 2010

104,500...October 2010

-----------------------

13,500 in 16 months ~ 844 miles per month....although it's rarely that even.

Since April, it's almost exclusively storm chasing mileage. 1,100 miles alone was Chasing Hurricane Earl in the Outer Banks (NC). I've only driven the car ~500 miles since September 4th, 2010

Add 1,200+/- from Monday and Tuesday (today)'s storm chases. I did about 500 Monday and 700 today.

105,700+

Also had two of my longest ranges after a fill-up today. Managed a 308 mile run, and then on the way back I got 329 miles. The 308 mile run calculated out to 24mpg on the hwy. Haven't run the numbers on the 329 mile run yet.

Might be chasing again tomorrow.

Another 400 miles day. Although I was off earlier on my estimates. Odometer is sitting at

106,100+/-

Don't see any immediate road trips coming up...so looks like it'll be another month of very little driving. Maybe a good Lake Effect storm will be the next hundred-plus trip. I'm just glad I can avoid the commute since fuel prices are on the rise again.

Did get another 24mpg run today. I can't seem to bust the 25mpg no matter how conservative I drive...and today the terrain was very flat (was over on the Delmarva side of the chesapeake).

Head gaskets twice... Clutch a few times. All axles... Random transmission parts... Just swapped the suspension, which was still surprisingly good. Need to do ball joints and steering rack next. :(

But she still runs quite nice and hauls ass.
