true, but im just saying that people with the jdm bumper conversion have very limited options.. look at rogers fmic.. LOL its almost cut to the front of the bumper. and please make sure the shop puts beads on the pipes!

Are you doing anything this weekend? I got the core and I need to do a test fit. Bryan

update:

I got the stock bumper and the new core in. The core you see is a tube and fin. The kit will have bar and plate. As you can see the core clears the bumper.

Here are views from the front to show that the core will not intrude into the grill.

So The project is still moving along. I'm able to do 2 of the 3 things I wanted. 1. I found a core that would not hit the bumper. 2. Found a way to clear the air pump. The hard part now is keeping the foglights. There is not much room. So that is the part I'm working on now and what is holding up the project. So how many is this a deal breaker? I have some ideals but, I think it may push the kit over the $500 target pick. So how much is worth to you to keep the foglights? The non turbo foglight covers will fit for more of a stock look. So I'm keeping you guys up to date.

Are these kits going to use bigger ic piping than the xo2 ones? Also what about flipping the core so the inlets and outlets are on top? Will that allow for the fog light clearance?

We have been over this with the first kit. Read the link in the first thread. If you flip the core you will have no way to mount the bumper.

IIRC, the Perrin kit does not allow fogs as sold by Perrin, but there is a fairly simple mod that allows the foglights to stay. Perhaps you do one of the following:

1. Offer a with foglight and w/out foglight kit and charge approrpriately.

2. Offer a seperate "upgrade" that includes items neccessary to re-route pipes etc. to allow foglights to stay in place.

3. Just make the kit and let people know what they will need to modify and purchase to make it work with the foglights.

Perrin also flips the core and removes the bumper beam because the charge pipes enter/exit the core about where the beam sits.

I wonder, if this kit was sold in two flavors - Perrin-style that loses the beam (or that replaces the beam), or current-style that loses the fogs, which would sell better?
