Kaos22B
I'm rooting for ya' Goodluck wiring in the DCCD with your Legacy ECU and ABS. What a pita. (I'm not being sarcastic, seriously good luck) It may be alot easier on you to just purchase an aftermarket DCCD controller.
Kaos22B
PS. It would be MUCH easier and MUCH cheaper to switch your rear end to a 3.90 ring/pinion instead of mucking with the tranny.
Kaos22B
Thank Phil, So do you know were the G-sensor are. Has I said before , hope they are in the DCCD control box or the tranny itself. Mike There are 2 g sensors, located next to the ebrake under the thumbwheel, the idea being that is the center of the car. One for forward/aft movement, and one for lateral. HAMMER DOWN
Finally, I got it though my thick head. The rear diff. will work, because it's 160,[same in the GT now] regeared to match the STi tranny's 3.90 final drive. The problem was me. I assumed, sence I'm getting a STi tranny. I was get a STi rear diff. NOT:redface: . You know what happen when you assume. Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
HAMMER DOWN
Anxious to know what the total price for the project is. About $5k, I listed all the parts that came with the swap kit. in my 1st post. Parts, $4600.00 + $200.00 shipping = $4800.00 Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
HAMMER DOWN
Don't forget to make the DCCD work properly there are G-sensors installed on the STi's. I think there are 2?? I just talk to the guy. The G-Sensors & wire harness come with DCCD controller. So everything is looks good. So far It looks like a custom driveshit is the only thing else I have get done. There is 5.7" differnce between the GT & the STi wheelbase. Thanks again, Mike Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold

HAMMER DOWN
Parts just came in today. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_3817.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_3816.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_3814.jpg Now need to make my list of things to buy. So when I do the swap in Aug. I will have everything I need. I have to think of going aftermarket for the DCCD controller. A factory one came with the tranny, but I only got a foot of wire harness from each part of the DCCD hardwear. So now I have about 30 wires to hook-up, instead of around 8 or so . Remove that clutch delay valve (I can see it in the picture on the tranny) and run the hose directly to the slave. You would have had a crapload of wires to connect regardless of how they sent the connectors, it is NOT as simple as 8 wires by any means. I'd agree that an aftermarket DCCD controller would be the best route so far.

Need to get DCCD wire diagram to see if the PITA way. Is going to be worth my time or just send the $$$.$$ on the aftermarket DCCD. That depends entirely on you, what your time is worth, your abilities and your preferences on your car. All I can tell you is it isn't extremely difficult, just time consuming and troubleshooting it if something doesn't work may be aggravating especially since it's your first time doing it. Remember you have to tap into all the ABS sensor wires, the ABS control unit, brake switch, throttle pedal, rear diff temp, gauge cluster, g sensors, thumbwheels, powers, grounds etc.

HAMMER DOWN
I make a long story short. I started the swap the 6MT Tuesday, but I can't get the 5MT to separate from the motor. I got all the bolt out. I just wont break free. I so pissed:mad::mad:. I'm going to let the GT set for a few days. I sprayed the 2 alinement pins & the 2 studs at the bottem of the tranny. All I can think of is the steel pins & studs are rusted up in the aluminum cases of the motor & tranny. That they won't separate. I have to be back to work by Monday. So I'm going car shopping Friday. Hope you guys holiday was 100% better. Mike Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
rao
You just need to wrestle it out. All the penetrating oil in the world will not do anything. Try raising/lowering the tail of the transmission. People use ratcheting tie down straps and all sorts of other methods, but it is time to get medieval and pull the transmission off. Getting it back on is just as much fun Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
groff
what he ^ said. its a pain no matter how you look at it or do it. i used a hammer and basically a screwdriver to start to separate mine then a lot of wiggling and more pounding, just keep at it, you'll get it
HAMMER DOWN
I have done all of that. Except driving a screwdriver between the two cases. In all my tranny jobs, God know more then I like to count [ GM's]. I never had to do that. It's a good way to crack the case. I'll start back work on the GT next weekend. B-Day is Sunday. Here's some pics. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_4301.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_4303.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_4298.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_4300.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_4311.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_4313.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_4310.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_4308.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/100_4305.jpg The good new I got my new car to day. It's a 07 Pontica Solstice GPX. The window price was $29455 and the web price was $26,999. It took the dealer about an hour, to see WTF is going on. But in the end I got the web price. Then went right a head and got bumper to bumper for 7yrs,\ 100,000 miles warranty & for as long as I own it. The body is warranty from rust. Not rust threw, but surfice rust, paint bubble & other paint defacts. For and extra $2,400. I don't thinks that to bad. I'm happy with it, I guess that's all it matters. Gator GT
IIRC, there are access holes where the steel alignment pins are. Try getting a punch and hammer them. I'm quite sure the JDM 6MT I had a while back had those. "If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed." - T.
