  1. you should get whatever TOB comes with the clutch you get. the 5MT will not work with the 6MT.
  2. i have the 5mt nss in mine and it works fine.
  3. PM me p/n's if you want and I can update the first post. I said years ago this should have been stickied
  4. best place is subaruparts.com call them though, they're really the Bruce Titus Tacoma Nissian Subaru place and normally have the best prices for getting things, even if from the warehouse (aka not in stock).
  5. you EITHER need a 07+ spec b one OR a 4EAT driveshaft
  6. Matt,

Dave from ESP here. Mike told me to check with you to see if you had or new of a source for the parts needed to convert an automatic LGT to a 5 speed. I have trying to buy a LGT wagon for the past few months and its slim pickings on the 5mt cars, so I was considering a 5eat car and doing the swap. Might consider a 6 speed too but I will also need all the pedals, interior pcs, etc.

Anyway, just let me know if you have anything or know who might.

    Thanks,

    Dave

  7. saw a chick driving an 09 LGT heading towards the south burl hs on kennedy dr tuesday
  8. hey, who's bad mouthing me in here!... just tell me what to fix in what post number and I will. I've been offline as my comp crashed.
  9. lets get a meet going the 16th?
  10. When I was doing my swap, I talked to about the only people besides driveshaft shop that may be able to make these (locally) and they looked at the items and said it wasn't really possible, so if it was somehow, it wouldn't be feasible either. Spec Bs are the way to go.
  11. subaruparts.com in WA, they'll take care of you.
  12. Transmission Choice: 2007+ LGT Spec B 6MT, 2004, 2005 STI 6MT $2500 Rear Differential Choice: 2007+ LGT Spec B R180, 2004+ STI R180, <2004 Legacy or you can use a regeared stock R160 as well with stock LGT rear axles $250 Axles: Front - Stock LGT, Rear - 2007+ Spec B or custom Driveshaft Shop Axles $750 Etc: DCCD Controller for STI 6MT $350, 2005+ 2.5i LGT Auto Driveshaft$50-150 (depends on the junkyard, dealer etc), appropriate 6MT flywheel and clutch I picked up a stock STI flywheel for $25 I think, then a SPEC 3+ clutch package for $750 or so I think. Add labor on top of that if you're not doing the job. You'll still need the STI R180. It's not that its an R160 or an R180 but rather the gearing that is important. The STI and Spec B R180 are a 3.9 final drive, which is what is required for the STI swap, so you will not be able to use the outback's stock R180. You may however be able to use the axles, if you do the swap, you can take a picture of the axles and I'll be able to tell for you, I think there is a pic in Hammer's thread from my swap comparing the Spec axles to the stock LGTs.
  13. Yes. yea, sorry, didn't have any shout outs
