wow i have 317000 miles on my legacy and your right i did have to replace almost all the gaskets and im going to have to tear it down again to replace the piston rings my girlfriend fried lol

Check the dimensions on the cylinder bores and see if it needs to be bored out. At least hone the cylinders with one of those drill powered cylinder hones from Sears. That's pretty sick though.... That's a bunch of miles on a Subie... I had 300K on a Cummins Turbo Diesel, but that's a totally different animal.....

It's unfortunate how fast time flies.

Especially when they destroy something that once was sexy as hell.

makes me want to hold onto it longer!!

That's what she said.

But in all seriousness I don't blame you. Sucks for me though. It will make it even harder for me to find one.

she already does!!

actually my kids talk about how rare my car is. don't see too many of them on the road compared to outbacks, legacy sedans and foresters. pretty funny.

I have no intention of getting rid of my car any time soon. I just drove it at 75 to 80mph for 8 hours straight. Doesn't shake or make any noises at all, and gets 34mpg. What else could I want from a car I spent $5000 on that currently has over 100k miles?

glad i found this thread, where one of our subies belongs.

My mothers old 2002 OBW has 215,XXX miles. Manual transmission- original clutch & transmission!! Haha, and my mom actually drove it till about 185K, and she bucks/stalls on the daily. We moved her into her fist auto (an 05 OBW) and since then me and my pops have been switching off driving her old wagon.

'97 BG LGT with 155,904 and still running strong. '99 BD LGT with a blown motor (oil starvation :( ) at 80,132. Engine still runs but not well at all. I'll have it repaired and keep it as my backup for my BG after my STi swap for my BD. It's gonna be a fun winter! ;)
My 9.3 cups EJ22 makes me feel like my **** is 2.8 decimeters!

Yeah, thats how my GT is, well doing 70 MPH. I must say those Americans build em right at SIA. 113k miles and no rattles. However, I found out it will cost me $195 to get a power antenna replacement. Yikes.
