The Forester is getting updated for '09, but the Outback change is planned for '10 (along with the Legacy), as far as I've heard. That's when it's moving to the Tribeca platform (from what I've heard). Regarding the mule, there has been speculation on whether it was Forester or Outback bits under the Frankenstein skin, but I'm leaning towards Outback. The Forester rumors thread seems to indicate that the '09 Forester has grown substantially, so I'm not sure if the Frankensteinian Outback would hold the new Forester's innards. I agree, and wish that tuners would catch already and offer stuff for the 07s/08s. I know there are things out there, but over a year for a AP2? If there is a LSTi at this point its the only way to get that 300hp on a new car( I know EcuTek makes something, but you have to have a tuner that can set it up for you......from what I've heard). From my understanding, many perspective Subaru buyers cross shop between Subaru and Saab. I wouldn't be surprised if Subaru followed some Saab styling cues. .
