Brembo GT kit causes nothing but smiles

minus of course the price tag. I installed a front and rear kit and it was all pretty straight forward. The only real issue was the rear goodrige kit that was supplied was not bolt in. I had to bend the hard line that comes from the front and use zip ties to keep all in check. Everything still came out pretty well. I do not have pics of the line issue. Does a rear ss line kit usually bolt right in and do away with both rubber lines utilizing the stock mounting points?

I do have these.

As far as feel and performance it is night and day Im sure that lines would have provided some of the "better feel", but I can pound on these babies from upwards of 100mph and they keep asking for more. Some will say it is a waste of money. I simply don't care. I forget who compared bbk's to jewelery but they are right. I did it partly for looks, but at the same time the are just plain cool. Unfortuneatly I got rid of my 17 inch black TE37 b/c they would not clear the brakes that would have looked sick, I am warming up to the new wheel however.

nice brakes; don't feel the rims at all

No doubt they weigh 44.5 lbs 18x8.5 245/35/18

The Volks were 37.5 lbs 17x7.5 225/45/17

The black wheels were great but like I said I am warming up to these. I use to have an 88SS z31 white pearl paint and wheel. At some point I might go with the white on white like you had. I originally thought the new wheels would not be as shiny. I should have gotten P1 flat black, oh well money is already spent.

These are the "hotness".

I am actually interested if the white wheels that I have will clear your brakes; do you have the dimension of the front brakes somewhere?

also, these new wheels don't have any tire protection - make sure to not hit these on the curbs when you park

You talked about having troubles installing the rear lines. That's because there for a WRX. Look at the paperwork that came in the box. It talks about '02 WRX fitment.

The end part of the brake line were the banjo bolt goes through is straight and on a LGT it's a 90 degree bend. I just installed the rear Brembo kit on to my car three weeks ago. A gold set to go with the front I bought last year. Anyway, I lucked out because I bought stainless lines last year hoping it would make a difference in pedal pressure. It worked for a week and then pedal pressure went back to the normal crappy feel.

As for the rear dust shield, I removed mine. There are about 8 spot welds and bending it back was not an option.

The black kit looks sweet. I even saw the kit in silver with red brembo stickers at the King Of Parts meet. Some of the custom paint choices from Brembo look really good.

Enjoy those brakes because I'm enjoying mine.

ramp pic was snapped while I was doing my sways. Wheels, brakes, sways, full exhaust, stage 2 flash all in the same week. Sheeeet... needless to say I am a very happy boy.

As for the brake bias I cant say for sure, I guess it is fine, I know this much it will throw you throught the windshield, but I wear my seat belt to combat that problem.

I originally started to cut notches inthe the section of the dust shield that is parallel to the ground with all intentions of then bending it out to be perpendicular with the rest of it, after doing so it looked like crap. The shield was then larger than the rotor and able to be seen, plus it would have ended up becoming a rust magnet(or so I believe). I ended up taking them off after all you can drill them out as demonstrated in earlier posts, or you can bend the shield outward and then chisel them off or even brake the welds using some persuation.

Nice job! I do feel the rims :). They remind me of Tuners. Brakes look great - looking forward to doing mine. The rims seem to wide for your tires though (or the tires seem to narrow for your rims). Very little curb rash protection. I guess it is or isn't an issue depending on where you live.
