Hi everyone. First off, I'd just like to say hi and introduce myself as I am new to the forum. After many years of wanting a Subaru, I finally found myself a clean, all stock 06 Legacy GT a few months ago. I love it and have added a perrin air filter and hks catback exhaust. That being said,as well as changing oil, is all the mechanical ability I feel comfortable with as of now. I really can't afford to break something as this is my daily driver.

This leads me to a question for you all. Can you suggest or recommend a subaru specialty shop or mechanic or any well trusted specific mechanic at any local subaru dealerships in the Pittsburgh area? I'm about an hour south of Pittsburgh. In my searches so far, I've came across people mentioning TPG Tuning, Moore Performance, and McB Autosport. Would these shops perform something like a 60K mile maintenance or downpipe/uppipe install as I am looking to do or are they more about bigger projects like turbo installs and engine rebuilds, which I may also need to know for the future. If anyone can help me out on this, please let me know or send me a p.m. I'd really appreciate any information or suggestions.

Sorry for such a long post and newbie questions, but I am new to the Subaru platform and I'm sure I'll learn more as I frequent the forums and make it to a few meets. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I look forward to hearing from you.

Ouch, shit that sucks! I will not be there Wednesday, car is in the shop so my wife and I are splitting 09 Civic duties....what a slug. She has a prior engagement that day. Should have my car back in 2.5 weeks now.

Yeah, how bad is the turbo? Any shrapnel? Too many times these problems lead to motor failure. Make sure you flush the hell out of that engine. Also when you drop the pan check the pick up tube for shavings stuck to the metal screen.

I originally bought these for my Spec. B and then ended up fitting them to my wifes Outback XT. The drivers side light gets some condensation and needs to be resealed. It also has a small tab that is broken off the end but it doesn't make much difference when it's installed. Both lights work fine.

Hi guys, I still have these for sale. Dropped the price to $200 picked up, just trying one last time for locals before I put them on eBay.

Is anyone here interested in the group buy for the RavSpec aluminum under tray? I'm not a shill for RavSpec, I just want one and I'd rather save some money if some other Pittsburgh peeps want in.

Vendor thread:

I'd like to grab one of these for my car, but I can't see paying that kind of money for a piece of aluminum. It really shouldn't be hard to find a local shop to fab something just like this and for a significantly lower price.

Anyone know a shop or have a friend that can make these locally?
