MiniStiGuy
you'll love the e30 lenses. I just swapped them into my setup a few weeks ago and it is so awesome! OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
MiniStiGuy
This is only Rx330 non-asf using RX lense holder and no spacing what so ever. no color modding at all. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2548/4158187473_5d9fe9ce26_b.jpg Note: I am swapping shields again in a few weeks and will fix the misaligned shield that is causing the light to go down so much on the passenger side. Golf4283
Yea My RX330 Non-AFS setup has that as well and it annoys me. I would just make a new shield but I like a challenge so I'm gonna make a custom AFS shield and figure out how to mount them into my housing. I also Wanna pickup some LED lights to mount in the headlight. Anyone have any leads to those flexible LED strips? I tried searching around HIDPlanet but found nothing. This is for sure the last retro I do in my Legacy. I like the output of the Non-AFS but think I can really get it perfect with the AFS.

Golf4283
When I do the retro I'll let you know. I do know however that one of the bowls has the top mounting location broken and JB welded together. It works just fine as the JB weld is heat resistant and it's more of something you can only see when you're looking at the projector. It has no effect on output. I'll keep you posted. Golf4283
Just got my AFS RX330's. Man these things look nice. I think this beam pattern is gonna be wide as hell. Hopefully my E30 lenses come tonight as well as my extra ballast and bulb for testing. Custom shields here I come.

Jerboa113
ok I finally haev some money and am chewing on this idea. yall's thoughts on aftermarket headlights for the LGT? I'm gonna buy another set and mod them. I wont mod my own again. I can take my time if I do it this way. been keeping up but not 100% Looks like there's a LOT of different projectors and all that work for this so.. what's the easiest route on this? Golf4283
Easiest route is NON-Afs RX330's. They're a direct bolt on with the use of the Legacy shield. MiniSTI asked for my set of Non-AFS RX330's but if he doesn't want them I'll sell them to you. They have replica TSX clear lenses and they look amazing. Let me know. I'm retroing something else right now.

I assume that all the color came from the e30 clear lens? I just (finally) found a set of RX330 Non-AFS and want to get a lot of color out of them. I do have a set of replica TSX clear lenses that I was planning on throwing in them.
MiniStiGuy
The TSX should give you the color and yes this is just form the E30 lens. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
ndmx52
The TSX should give you the color and yes this is just form the E30 lens. Did you have to modify anything to have the e30 lens fit snugly in the rx330 lens holder? My clear replica TSX lenses are much too small for the rx330 lens holder. Catalyst
Ok, so how much work is it to shove the AFS in there instead? Having no luck with non-afs and I'm getting antsy. "This is an adventure."
NSFW
I have RX-330 (non-AFS) + bulbs + Morimoto ballasts en route from these guys: http://store.theretrofitsource.com/ I suspect they can get more, it's definitely worth asking. I'll post some pics when the stuff gets here. Probably won't be able to actually install until the end of the month though. Just too damn busy. MiniStiGuy
Ok, so how much work is it to shove the AFS in there instead? Having no luck with non-afs and I'm getting antsy. It's exactly that... "Work" to get them in. 100% custom mounting required and some shaving etc.. If you are good with tools and possibly done a retro before you can do it easily but for the easiest route the MDX or RX330's are direct swap units. I think the MDX year is like 2007 or 2008.. the projectors mounts are the same as the RX330 non-afs but the MDX has a shield like the legacy's so if you see pics of it you probably wont notice exactly that it is what it is. NSFW
It was about $300 for the projectors, bulbs, and ballasts. The projectors were not sold as "new," but they're in perfect condition. Can anyone confirm that these are in fact the non-ASF projectors? http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z151/Legacy_NSFW/HIDs/Projectors2.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z151/Legacy_NSFW/HIDs/Projectors1.jpg They don't like quite like I expected but I'm not real familiar with HIDs...
