Yea, I just did it yesterday, and everything looks VERY NICE! Thanks again for the posts on here, they helped a lot! Will post a few pics once I get the SilverStars in and installed. BTW, DON'T TOUCH THE INSIDE! No need to, and it's really easy to stay away from it.

I gotta go in for inspection and have been putting my car back to stock (remove hogzawst, re-enable DRL's), and was wondering if anyone has had problems passing inspection with cleared headlights. I do have the silverstars in the corners that look silver/blue, and blink orange. What I am unsure about is the lack of orange reflectors. My dad said something about going to lowes and getting reflective tape and just cutting out a temporary reflector to put on the outside of the light, instead of going through the "anti" clearing process. I was thinking that this may actually draw attention to the lack of reflectors. Thoughts?

hey man, i had the same problem when i went through, but I figured id try first and go back if I had to

no Problems!

no one seemed to care that my lights were clear, as long as they blink and they blink orange...

Mine are actully the normal bulb spray painted silver, so the orange doesnt come through all that great, and it still passed.

I REALLY wouldnt bother with the hog removable or the DRL's - they dont give a crap about that. At least in jersey, they plug into the computer, and as long as you have no codes - you pass..

i wouldnt worry about it long as they dont blink clear just say thats how the car comes. my dad has a chrysler pacifica and the front turn signals are clear and blink amber. also why you turning your DRLs back on? theres no law that you need DRL on a car. just like you dont have to have airbags its a safety feature but why would an inspection need it. Hogzaust i dont know how PA is that seems more reasonable to switch back..

I was just under the impression that in order for a car to pass inspection, it has to have all factory saftey devices operational (including drl's). It only takes 30 seconds to plug in the drl's, so no biggy. As for the hogzawst, when putting the washers in the flange, your essentially creating a hole in your exahust. So I didnt know what a garage would say about that. I just wanted to be able to take it in, and get it inspected without trouble. I'll try to get by without the orange reflectors and see what happens. Thanks!

i mean 30 seconds isnt a lot of time but i would venture to say thats not an issue if you dont

Paul, What do you mean uneven? Are they crooked? or the cut off pattern of the lights "steps down" from right to left?

Yes exactly, there are steps in the light's pattern. From the driver's seat, the right light seems like its higher, it 'steps up' from left to right.

I decided to take on the project but while I had the lights apart I wanted to add a little something.

Anyone like the look of the new Audi A4 lights? Well I really do!

I found LED strips on eBay for $12 each including shipping. So I bought some to add into the headlights.

I plan to add a switch for them but for now I have them hooked up to my parking lights.
