Moar how-tos!

Wanna black out the corners but keep the reflectivity? Nightshades, bitches! Get that dark, black-chrome look, but retain the mirror (and light reflecting!) finish!

It's pretty easy to do -- Just mask shit off and do light LIGHT COATS! Nightshades does a great job of covering and spreading itself out if you just let it.

I used gloss black paint, with stage 2 leds. Basically dont do what i did. Im very curious to know how the night shades do in the day/night

This is actually the signal at full brightness.

hey all, would one suggest using plasti-dip to black out a cleared headlight? could it handle the heat of the projector light?

EDIT: nvm, went back a few pages and found my answer!

Reviving an old thread, but gave this a try and thought I'd share. I went with blacking the housing out, amber reflector delete, painting projector ring blue and adding switchback led inside the housing.

Heating and bending hollow acrylic tube to hold the led strip.

Fitting it to the inside frame and testing the led strip.

I'm going to attempt this on some 2006 headlights. Should I be OK reusing the stock butyl/silicone to seal the headlights? Or should I be safe and order something from Amazon for a new seal (what would that be? waterproof silicone?)?

I did mine last year and I didn't have to add anything. . .there should be enough on there to get a good seal. Just pop em back in the oven for a min or two before you seal them back up to get it soft again

So uh.. can I pay you to do this to a fresh set of headlights? Seriously...
