Most modded / fastest OB?

Recommended Posts

mweiner and riggs, I roll a 2.5i with only a few mods so far, but I live in Ft. Collins and I thought we should try to get a cruise for a bunch of leggies and outbacks over trail ridge road or some other fun mountain road this summer! I can't keep up I'm positive, but it could be a fun day anyway, and a photo shoot!

I would love to meet up with some local Subaru guys!

I work between Chicago and Colorado and I am out of town quite a bit with work but as long as I am in town I will be there. Count me in.

I would love to have some 18 inch SSR GTII wheels, so I could put 245/45/18's on it but 700-800 in tires and another 1200 in wheels is crazy expensive.

Someone find me a set cheap and Ill do it.

I like the go fast stuff and the sleeper affect.

My 1993 Cobra mustang had 17 inch wheels on it so I am not in a big rush to change.

Like I said though I have the wheels I want all picked out, just not in a rush to do it.

I found a set, they are still for sale (no im not telling who) but just dont want to spend the money.

I want to get the injectors, and pump and tune first.

Someday maybe.... Im taking donations :)

As for handling of an OBXT. A lot of LGT owners knock it, but what they are forgetting is some of us have been to racing school. Ad the power of the vehicle and the skills acquired over years on the track and the stock handling of the OBXT is fine. I would say it fun because a little looseness in curves is a blast. A moded OBXT with a skilled driver is a terror on the street even when hauling building materials.

^^ I've tracked mine twice now. With some track pads, this thing is just plain awesome.

It's more driver than car. Go watch the top gear episode where they have an F1 driver in their car around the track. He's like 12s faster in the wet than everyone else is in the dry.

makes me wish I had bought an outback XT instead of a GT. like being able to go off road. can't do that so well in a legacy.

wow, I can't believe this thread is still alive!

I jock mwiener's car. So I was looking under the car the other night and there's a 2 spacers on the control arm. It's like a tall one between the control arm and the body and a short one on the other side to the bolt head. I wonder if you switch these if you make the OB back into a Leggy, by lowering it that extra inch while keeping the geometry happy.

I'm not planning on trying, though. I like my ride height and it doesn't roll too bad with cobb sways and MR coilovers.

this thread is the funniest thing ive read yet on this site. im sitting here on my comp laughing my @$$ off and my gf thinks im crazy. mwiener, i wish i lived close to you cause i would love to see that ob of yours. heres my flake of a mod list

SUSPENSION

stock and a blown rear strut(freezes solid in the winter and sucks)

ENGINE

kn filter

new block and internals(blew the motor last november whoops)

EXHAUST(THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE CAR LOL)

borla header

catco high flows

2.5 inch pipe straight back

magnaflow muffler

EXTERIOR

4 4" pilot fog lights mounted in front of the grill

blue laminex headlight film(cause im too cheap to buy hids and it looks cool during the day with the lights off)

18X7.5 akuza rims black 5 spoke with alluminum lip(needs to be recleared)

15% tint all the way around

custom hood chips courtesy off the gravel truck i got stuck behind on the highway

a tiny spot of rust about the size of my finger behind the back passanger door for weight reduction

INTERIOR

l.e.d cluster mod in all the lights including doorpanel floods

painted dash trim (adds 50 hp)

and some audio that i dont feel like listing because im lazy but i will say that im not ganster and i dont have 4 15s cramed into the back, just 1 10 for lightweight but with a little bump

removed abs light from gauge cluster cause i believe abs causes more accidents than it saves especially in snow, so i pulled the fuse and dont feel like having a bright orange light shine in my face the whole time im driving

and since i had the gauge cluster out i replaced all the dull green crap lights that illuminate everything with blue leds

so there you have it, my just about stock, slow, and rotting away slowly ob. but i still love it
