real close too if not 400 crank

havn't gotten on the dyno yet. Almost did last wed, but ran out of time at the shop. Soon though. I'll get around to it. The vette couldn't shake me and I was shifting too early (6k instead of 7200) cause I'm still used to the VF40. Also, I'm at 15psi and I want to be closer to 20 after the dyno tune.

HA!!!

If anything they are getting stricter.

A new car in CO is emissions exempt for a few years. Then it gets tested jus tlike every other car. Different counties have different emissions regulations. Maybe Ft. Collins dropped their emissions regulations, but I doubt it.

see this for more info

Well, one of my cars had an emissions test due in Dec 06. The car sat in the drive until '07 and when I went in to finally renew, they said they dropped the emissions requirement. I figured this would have to be statewide and could not be city or county wide. I hope Im wrong.

  • 2 months later...

NOT the most modded by far but here's my 9 month old project so far:

Megan Outback Coilovers (love these...not too firm, not too soft.

OZ Superleggaras

245, 45 19's Pirellis PZeros

AVO Top Mount

Cobb Turboback with custom turned-down tips and resonator installed

(still way too loud)

Cobb Accessport

Stoptech BBK (not installed yet)....two weeks.

Navigation Mod with Iphone Video aux input installed!!! Best mod of all time.

Sound deading on all doors, and entire back area.

Here's the dyno numbers with the 5eat....man I wish I had a 6 speed.

Tq seems low, especially for a 5eat. Cut the redline short too. didn't really raise the boost much either.

I'm sure that tune is VERY safe, but there's more on the table to be had, especially with those mods.

How's the rubbing with the 19's?

ya, was hoping for more but that's what I got. Harman worked on it for a while too. 5eat is a mystery to me. Anyway, 19's dont rub at all. It drives amazingly well in the snow too! Thank god for traction control!!!

tires are 235's, sorry. 27.2 inches overall outer diameter so ...they are larger than stock and I have the offset wider too so they are close but I've not had any issues as of yet...

any suggestions on how to get more power out of my set up BTW? Maybe see if someone else will tune it? numbers seem surpising low to me as well. But I'm not into high numbers as much as smooth power.

I just took a look at your car. That's insane man! That must have taken a lot of work and commitment (and money!) to get it where it is!! My hats off to you man.

Quick question: Do you have any time sheets for 0-60 and 1/4 times or just educated guesses? I'm interested to see what type of numbers a 400hp+ Outback can put down:)

mweiner and riggs, I roll a 2.5i with only a few mods so far, but I live in Ft. Collins and I thought we should try to get a cruise for a bunch of leggies and outbacks over trail ridge road or some other fun mountain road this summer! I can't keep up I'm positive, but it could be a fun day anyway, and a photo shoot!
