I highly recommend the Perrin 1-piece reverse lockout collar. It cures a very common rattle from the oem parts.

I believe that's what I ended up doing - due to that very same rattle.

so spiderpig isn't for sale anymore? or is it?

I dumped my wagon for 10k. My investment was crazy numbers. But cheaper than buying a new car every 4 years.

It is for sale, but not yet listed.  Parts or as a whole.  Car is running, but really needs an engine rebuild.  Waiting for Max to send me the odometer and asking price.  He has been slowed by a medical issue the past several months.

@WRX USA It doesn't come with the Cobb shifter. The part you have is indeed what I need since it has the screw that's on the side vs. bottom for the STi specific 6MT lever. The Cobb 6MT STS I have is specific to the SpecB which has a cylindrical piece where this exact piece would bolt up to. It's insane how they had to make this part different from the STi 5MT. Do you remember what the PN was for this?

Also since you got the WC Lathewerks Titanium collar, did you buy an STi shift lever to make it all work? I don't see a SpecB specific one.

I don’t have the part numbers as it came with my SpecB swap. I’m fairly sure that it incurred the damage on the shift boot retainer at the same time it was swapped.

I checked my receipts from WC Lathewerks and you are correct, the parts that I purchased are for an STi shift lever. I would need to pop the shift boot off to take a look at my Cobb STS, but I think after shearing the bolt, I purchased another SpecB one that I sold and then purchased the STi version so that I could use all of the WC Lathewerks parts.

Test fitted a-pillar dual gauge pod.  Secured all wires/silicone hose behind dash.

Found this wire running up pillar and under headliner.  It comes out beside mirror.  The mirror wasn't installed on car when I bought it.  Anyone recognize what this wire is for? Aftermarket Dash/backup cam/radar detector I'm assuming?

June 16-18, '23 - Carlisle, PA: LegacyGT.com East Coast Meetup

(thread moved from General Chat to Site Announcements)

For those who haven't been up on it, we've settled on a date and location for an East Coast meet. Check the first post above to find out details. For people who can't find the thread anymore, I asked the @BoozeRS05 to move it to Site Announcements since it's 1) a site-wide announcement and 2) it will get better visibility on the frontpage. Apologies for any confusion.

I am unable to view that link.  I also don't see Site Announcements anywhere.  I'm probably just blind.

Changed the cabin air filter.  WTH were they thinking when they planned this.  Pretty much remove half the dashboard 😛

At least I shouldn't ever have cigarette butts or leaves packed in there ever again since I bonded stainless mesh over the opening under the cowl.

Installed an inline check valve in my brake booster line next to the STi booster.

I’ll do that on my desktop. I have to admit I have not idea how to do that on a phone tho…. So let me mess around a bit.

Turn wrenches? Yes.

Use a smart phone? Not so much.

Hah!

Shortly after….

Cache, history and temp data cleared. Still no dice??

Not nice enough out to tear into any big projects, so in the interest of clearing off the ‘needs to be installed shelf’

Did the OE FPR delete for the Sti unit. Chucked in an inline filter and pressure gauge while I was in there.

Solid 32-33 psi at idle, with 9-10lbs of vacuum. Jumps to 42-43 without manifold vacuum.

No leaks after idling for a few minutes, but I’ll be keeping a fire extinguisher nearby for a while, just in case…🙄

Mildly ashamed to admit I've never paid attention to oil filter preferences on the board. I've always used short blue 15208aa12a and haven't blown up any engines. It seems now that's a little unavailable from our favorite a to z buying site. What's the generally accepted oem level substitute? Thinking about that mazda or roki or whatever it's called, but honestly it needs to be widely available enough to be shipped to my front door before I finish typing this post.
