rhino6303
Agreed, that makes the most sense to me. My thought was to weld a bung to the outlet of my TMIC. Do you have a metal manifold, or is there a good way to get the sensor into the plastic manifolds? There is actually a company that makes a 1/8 npt bung to install in a silicone coupler. I have one not installed along with an AEM IAT sensor. I thought about sd but don't need it with my current turbo.

I thought about sd but don't need it with my current turbo. Hadn't really thought about the details, just the general concept is what I was thinking about. I was entertaining the potentially naiive idea of just drilling a small hole in the plastic and sticking a suitable small-mass sensor (I'd imagine a small thermocouple would probably be fine) in there and sealing it  Of course I'm just thinking about it from first-principles, which is silly since I'm sure there's reasonably off-the-shelf solutions for this in the auto world. Edit: On further thought, a quick-and-easy solution would be to stick your sensor in the cyl #4 port that's used for the FPR manifold pressure reference and seal it off. Of course, this assumes you relocate the FPR reference to teeing off of the BPV reference, or otherwise modify that. Also assumes the charge temp is the same at all 4 cylinders (probably a reasonable assumption). Edited October 19, 2020 by solidxsnake

Or is there an LGT specific one with a kink to make TMIC install not suck as much? https://www.amazon.com/Mishimoto-MMCP-30NPTRD-Silicone-Coupler-Bung/dp/B00860E5HK

Max Capacity
FYI, for those with there stock downpipe sitting around doing nothing. The palatium used to make the cat's is current worth a lot of money. Last week I took both mine to a auto recycler and got $1870 for the two of them. Google search for auto recycler near me. Call them. The 05 up pipe is only worth $10 because of the way its made. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. There are two cats in the stock DP. they will need the numbers off them.  The second number is down in front of the second cat.  305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. B-BGTLimited
I look at stock downpipe every time I drive into one of my garage bays... it may be time to part with it. boxkita
working on a $500 lgt sedan. It had a couple of codes, so I went through diag to clear them and they went away. So moved on to checking compression. Pulling #3 coil pack was a pain as the connector was epoxied in place. Finally got of the coil and noticed it had been repaired several times. I'm trying to figure out the wire color codes so I can match the pigtail in my other hand. One too many touches and the connector fell apart. Now I have 3 randomly colored wires that don't match any colors in the pigtail. Guessing the car had more codes that showed up if you drove it more than 25 feet. The place I went to was just built next to the old place they had, everything was almost brand new, the building, parking lot fencing around the place. A guy met me at the door, I told him I was there to drop off the cat's, he told me to drive around back to the open bay and back in there. https://www.autocorerec.com/ 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. Holla
That's awesome! For awhile I had both my 01' GSR and LGT. I miss that car but I also don't know what I'd do with it right now. I owned more eg's and dc's than I can remember right now. It's funny though because I so rarely see them for sale now, someone has been sitting on these cars, they used to be everywhere. DadBod
Oh man, we're going back to the Honda days? That was pre-Fast & Furious. I used to have a B16 swapped EG sedan. I put more money into that suspension than the swap. Thing handled like it was on rails. Terrible for a daily. I loved that shit box.

MaasaiWarrior
All the honda talk, I also had one. 93 GS, B20Vtec swap, cammed, jdm transmission, tons of jdm interior and exterior parts, custom machined hubs for jdm integra type r brake setup including the master cylinder. The car still exists at a speed shop who bought it from me, not how I had it (it's had a bunch of awful body work) but they are doing a K series turbo setup on it. snm95ls
Had a DB2 GSR, an EJ6 Midori hatch with a bone stock Y7 with the Edelbrock turbo kit, and the last one was my ED6 hatch. That one started life and an STD was basically an EX with a semi-built B20V and damn decent suspension. That lil turd would scoot! I kinda miss it, but I needed to money and room at the time. /Honduhtalk.

seanyb505
Zero pics - so boring Honda post - First car bought for 16 year old me was an 87 accord rebuilt title for $700. It was rear ended but nowhere near as bad as that lol. Silver with a stick. Would still do 120. Jumped a curb at 90° and kinda crunched it up even more. In one of my earliest hands on no supervision oil changes I didn't tighten the oil cap. Did enough low oil damage that marked the beginning of the end. With severe rod knock, it threw a rod while driving it to the junkyard.
