NSFW
Given a choice, I'd rather have the vent part with a simple tombstone sort of thing sticking up in the back, with a screw-hole or two in it. Then do 1/2/3-gauge pods, cell phone cradles, radar detector cradles, etc, separately.
Streetlegal
VDO is a brand of gauge. They seem to be good quality low frill gauges. I believe all of them are threaded, but I will take some measurements later for you. Yea I did some looking and found them Given a choice, I'd rather have the vent part with a simple tombstone sort of thing sticking up in the back, with a screw-hole or two in it. Then do 1/2/3-gauge pods, cell phone cradles, radar detector cradles, etc, separately. So you are talking something like this? Obviously more refined but I just wanted to see if this is along the lines of what you were talking about. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/Capture_zpsxijkdzu6.jpg
NSFW
So you are talking something like this? Obviously more refined but I just wanted to see if this is along the lines of what you were talking about. That's the basic idea. However I was picturing the tombstone part being flat, so it would be easy to make other parts that mate up to it. Streetlegal
Updated the projector bracket, this version is good enough to actually use. Thingverse Link Is that from the bracket I sent you? Looks like it turned out well. I'm curious to see how the ABS holds up to the heat from the headlights. I was hesitant so I just had them waterjet out of aluminum. Also, I'm sure people are curious on updates for the pod. I have been really busy with work, class, and working on my car, lately so I haven't had much time to get on here. I am thinking that I will order 1 of each of the pods first to make sure everything fits properly and needs no changes. Then if I need to make changes or there is an issue, I don't have a bunch of pods that don't work right. With that being said, does anyone else forsee and issues with the pods before I send for the pair to be printed?

I was hesitant so I just had them waterjet out of aluminum. Kind of, the quad bracket is still in progress (thanks again for the help there!). I needed to verify the mini h1 mounting profile and bracket hole fit so making this was a simple way of solving both of those. Next is transferring these to the profile you sent me and playing with projector offsets.

Streetlegal
any of these made for the right hand drive cars I did not make them for right hand drive but I can mirror the model and it should fit the same for the RHD guys. The other models should be here in a day or two so I can confirm everything works. After that I can mirror one and have it printed to check it. I am not sure if I can just put it on the passenger side of a LHD car though.

Streetlegal
Alright have a few more test fit pictures. The guy that is testing my dual pod is working on getting me some pictures with gauges installed. He had to cut the "wire tube" a bit to fit his connector for his AFR gauge since it was already installed and routed. Otherwise he said he wouldn't have needed to cut it. I think I have a few gauges laying around that I can play with tonight. argyle409
Likely a shot in the dark, but does anyone have files for the fastening rims for hella 1000's? It wasn't till I looked online did I release they use a fastener that goes all the way around the light...

I was planning on doing a v2 and v3 style mount. Likely a shot in the dark, but does anyone have files for the fastening rims for hella 1000's? It wasn't till I looked online did I release they use a fastener that goes all the way around the light... Have you tried looking on any of the 3d printing sites that host all kinds of models? Got some pictures of the single pod with wires in it. The gauge I had was from my truck and has really long mounting studs on it so it doesn't fit all the way in. Other than that everything fits awesome and there is a lot of room for the wires in the tube. With that being said I think the single one is good to go http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160601_213306053_zpskzqe2lmd.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160601_213311855_zpsedmwcfw0.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160601_213327523_zpsl9zhxmt3.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160601_213419723_zpspjjv8rcv.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160601_213425896_zpsxuoo1ato.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160601_213433723_zpsyqffkpq4.jpg Here's a picture of one of the older revisions of the dual pod with the small wire tube going to the middle of the gauges with the same gauge. Still looks like there is quite a bit of room for wires. However, the guy that has the current dual one said that there wasn't enough room for wires to both of the gauges which doesn't make sense. Waiting for some pictures from him. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/IMG_20160601_213940016_zpszpyssh5s.jpg
