fotofan
The last flying Vulcan made its final fight earlier this year. It was awesome. I put something here like all the cool people, except there's nothing cool to put here.
KartRacerBoy
But are any of them in flying condition? I think all of them needs some fixes and certifications to be permitted to fly. On the subject: First Strike of The Falklands War(full documentary)HD - YouTube I've seen that. One hell of a mission.
ExitVisa
The SAM threat was already established and the ICBM was the nuclear delivery vehicle of choice over a decade before the B-1A (see B-70 cancellation). The Bomber boys in the Pentagon simply refused to admit it. Funny, I think the Fighter Mafia is doing the same thing with the F-35 right now The payload capacity of the B-1B is staggering. It can out carry a B-52 over a greater distance. Very neat plane. I was stationed at Dyess when we transitioned from the B-52 to the B-1. The B-52s were getting to the point that they spent more time in the maintenance hangars than they spent out on the ramp.

The B-52s were getting to the point that they spent more time in the maintenance hangars than they spent out on the ramp. And they still fly the B-52s, which is pretty awesome in itself. Scooby Fan
Well..... the average cost per yard is about $95....so today that would be right around $35,
SBT
At $7.50-$11.00 per sq/ft delivered, that comes out to nearly $73K. Factor-in another $3-$5K for pre-work, and you're looking at ~$80K on the low-end, likely closer to $100-110K. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -
