  1. Can you not wear a mask at work or were you only referring to your coworkers?
  2. You are giving the average American population entirely too much credit. At least 70% of them wouldn't know what "empirical evidence" was if it slapped them in the face. I don't really care what they are basing their decision on. It is their life to live. I'll make my own personal decision and assuming the vaccines are as effective as advertised, then I'll be safe from anyone that chooses not to be vaccinated. If I had a job where I was in contact with people, or had a family at home to protect, or if my health put me at greater risk of serious covid complications, then I would already be in line to be vaccinated. Fortunately none of those are the case and I can safely keep a "wait and see" approach without assuming unreasonable risk.
  3. The emergency approval is concerning. I'll wait until that last data set is collected/ published/ reviewed. If it's only "a couple months" shouldn't we be dropping the emergency label and giving full fda approval imminently? Honest questions as there are people far more informed than myself in this thread.
  4. I would totally agree with that. Forcing those unwilling to get vaccinated would be sacrificing personal freedom. You had a choice and chose what you believed to be in you and your family's best interest. I wouldn't deny anyone that choice. That freedom is essential IMO. Obviously this is all just a discussion and not meant as a personal attack on anyone. (Or perceived as such on my end) Civil discourse is necessary and there's 20% of me that enjoys playing devils advocate and representing an unpopular opinion even when I'm uncertain where I personally stand on the topic. Here's a perfect example of why personal choice is necessary IMO. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2021/04/13/covid-us-recommends-pause-j-j-vaccine-after-reports-blood-clots/7200817002/
  5. Sacrificing personal freedoms to possibly achieve herd immunity faster (for a virus with a high survival rate) is a non-starter for me.
  6. So you vaccinate yourself and viola, you no longer have to worry about what anyone else does (Or doesn't) do. Edit: for the record, I'm not saying I won't get vaccinated, I can see where someone would object to being forced into getting a vaccine that was rushed.
  7. I think "I don't wanna" is reason enough in this country. (for civilians anyway)
  8. Please tell him more, but do it via PM.
  9. Spotted in the wild complete with Lambo doors and underglow....
  10. https://zincpoint.com/handgun-ammo/?features_hash=5-Y_6-1300 Found it on Ammoseek.com (thanks to a recommendation from a member on here)
  11. I just bought 1000 rounds at .67 per round. (9mm)
  12. Thats ridiculous. The ocean is for old car batteries, not houses.
  13. With the rate this administration says they are going to hand out stimulus checks... this could certainly continue.
  14. An army of Redditers blowing their stimulus checks breaks the stock market. Who had that in 2021?
  15. Even as an essential worker it will be quite some time before any vaccine is offered to me, and I'm ok with that.
  16. That's a definite prerequisite. I still go over all their work with a fine toothed comb. I even found things wrong with the work done at TiC. No shop is going to have the attention to detail that I want.
  17. Some of us aren't that patient (and really don't have the time) I'll end up paying I'm sure.
  18. If I thought (or was even suggested) it would be done in one day, I would not have an issue. I asked for a break down of where those 17 hours were being spent and got zero response. I'll probably still end up doing it so I have my car back before spring, but my gut tells me we'll be closer to $3k than $2k when all is said and done.
  19. $120 an hour, which is about average for the better shops around here. I could get it done in 17 hours with a lift and tranny jack. I was figuring $1500. My problem comes when it blows right past their estimate. (Like it always does at shops)
  20. 17 hours of labor just sounded high....
  21. Both of those are subjective so.... Those arrogant toddlers really get my goat too though.
  22. What would you all expect to pay a shop to swap a spec B 6mt into a 5mt LGT? (Same year) labor only as I'm providing all the parts. I got a quote and the hours seem a bit high. Not really trying to do this swap outside in the middle of winter but this quote is making me consider it.
