Oh boy! Mom, I made it I always wanted to be a part of club L/R for the second! We gotta do the same thing - all two of us. I made sure to dip my fingers in oil and prep the lens for these photos, since we love potatoes so much. I will post better photos at some point. These were the last two in gunmetal, so I will be powder coating the two silver ones to match, eventually. Looks like I will need to lower it a little more to eliminate wheel gap. Ultimately, it's similar to Gex's setup. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/gexs-2005-rbp-wagon-218923.html The only difference is I have -10 offset on him and my tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. At some point this weekend I need to throw on the LGT rear LCAs I've been holding onto, knock out bushings, and then take the wagon to PIA for an alignment. Everyone seems to like that place. I thought walking out with a set of quality, good looking, albeit mismatched, wheels for $1k was ideal? What happened?

What did you do to your Outback today? V3
Febreze Mee replied to SBT's topic in Third Generation Subaru Outback (2004 – 2009)
That makes two of us. Mine sat up in the cold PNW while I went to TX the last couple weeks. -
Vehicle recovery (snow and sand)
Febreze Mee replied to Nonamedude's topic in Third Generation Subaru Outback (2004 – 2009)
I don't think the front tow-hook does screw into the frame rail, which is what made me consider installing a hideaway tow strap. I'll go verify right now. As for the rear. I haven't installed my hitch. There is a metal look on the underside in front of the rear bumper, on the bottom of the spare tire well, I believe. You'd tear your bumper off trying to access it though, so it wouldn't do you any good unless you took off your rear bumper. -
New wheels, who dis? Don't you just love functionality?! It's been awhile since I used the rear cargo space to this capacity. Feels good. The wheels are functional too Picked up a set of RPF1s from OAKOS for $1015 shipped. Two in silver & two in gunmetal. 18x8 +35 all around. Super stoked. Headed out to have them mounted and balanced soon.

Transmission Internals Compatibility Question
Febreze Mee replied to Microcontroller's topic in Transmissions
I too owned a 3.0R in GRP and loved the EZ30. It was 5EAT, and like you, I searched for months on how to manual swap. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that it would have been more feasible to purchase a 6MT from an EDM 3.0R and send it over here. I never played around with gear ratios, or Frankenstein-ing a 5MT. That just sounds pricey, then again so is shipping over a transmission. It's an idea though, hassle-free in comparison to creating your own transmission. You'll probably need the ECU* from a Legacy 3.0R too. EDIT:- ECO > ECU -
Legacy A-C vs D-F Preface/Postface Question
Febreze Mee replied to sez752's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
These are all great questions. I should've set my pride down sooner, because I've been wondering the BP5/BL5 to BP9BL9 and Rev A-C/D-F thing for awhile now. Thank you OP for asking. -
Noname 08 OBXT Rebuild Thread
Febreze Mee replied to Nonamedude's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Facts! As to the valve train noise comment, I too have noticed what I thought were loud lifters. Only difference is, you're on a fresh rebuild, and I'm on 175,000mi internals. Yikes! -
What did you do to your Outback today? V3
Febreze Mee replied to SBT's topic in Third Generation Subaru Outback (2004 – 2009)
I'm liking what I'm seeing! I haven't seen anyone else on here do a JDM/EDM, post-face lift, front end conversion - that is a mouthful. I also haven't looked too hard, but in all the years I've searched and read through this forum, you are the first I've seen to pull it off. I cannot wait for more pictures -
That's the thing. That's something that is becoming more and more realized as people find the japanese auction sites. That is why JDM things are so expensive here. The parts get re-sold for far more than they are worth to get some sort of profit, let alone some of the money lost on shipping back.

Complete Bushing Guide for BL/BP

Amazing write-up. I will be doing all bushing in the next coming weeks. I will definitely be using this for reference to verify I hit 'em all! Thank you! -
Official jdm conversion/aftermarket body thread
Febreze Mee replied to valleylegacy's topic in Exterior/Aesthetic
If you can find the Rajins, or any other Enkei your interested in, on Oakos, I would suggest reaching out to them via a PM. They have a relationship with the forum and offer great pricing for wheels with a special discount to forum members. I just walked out the door with a set of RPF1's 18x8 +35 for $1015. Two gunmetal, two silver. Food for thought. -
Official jdm conversion/aftermarket body thread
Febreze Mee replied to valleylegacy's topic in Exterior/Aesthetic
I concur with the comment on the painted section of the rear bumper adding to the aggressive look. And here I was thinking about experimenting and cutting it out. I guess it would be a "half bumper-cut." I need a new rear bumper anyway, as a family member backed into it some time ago. I just don't want to go JDM. I like the longer look of my USDM, and think it will go great with the Nengun "Liberal" style wing I'm about to purchase. -
Man, the envy You are definitely living the dream. You have a pristine wagon, and an ST205 GT4?! I've been looking for an ST185 GT4 for the last two months to see what I could find. I'm not ready to own one yet, but having one at some point in my life would be equivalent to checking off a big bucket list item. '92 ST185 GT4 WRC or Carlos Sainz Edition would go onto the unobtainable dream car list.

Need advice on suspension setup for 2005 LGT wagon
Febreze Mee replied to Pleides's topic in Suspension/Brakes
Forgive me for inputting with just a little ole 2.5i, but perhaps someone can take something away from this. I am no suspension expert. I checked, and re-rechecked my research, spending hours trying to figure out the suspension set up I wanted for what is my daily driver. I like comfort too and while, my suspension set-up isn't uncomfortable (not* abruptly harsh, still subjective), it is no lush Lexus LS430 suspension. I am building my daily to enjoy the twisties when I can with it, and I'm willing to sacrifice a little more comfort for said twisties. I am running BC BR Coilovers w/ Swift springs 7K/8K (front/rear) set to 7-clicks from hard, and a Whiteline RSB set to soft. I have driven like this on mediocre roads for a couple thousand miles now. My car is streetable, functional, and comfortable enough. I will be playing around with the damping on softer settings over the next couple weeks to learn more about my setup. But I am extremely happy with it thus far. EDIT: not* -
The Doctor's '05 White Wagon
Febreze Mee replied to DoctorDaveLGT's topic in Legacy Photos (2005-2009)
I've checked and re-checked your threads for a build thread. Nothing. I've been looking for pictures of your car and had trouble finding some. Glad you decided to make a thread. That wagon is sleek! Looking good Doc. Keep it up! -
LGT Suspension vs. stock wheels
Febreze Mee replied to Rittmeister's topic in Third Generation Subaru Outback (2004 – 2009)
I had an Outback 3.0R and with LGT suspension and stock wheel. I didn't rub with that set up either. -
I think Madrig said his was shorter than the Mach V wing. Or maybe he said it didn't flare up like his. I know it doesn't flare up as much, if any, as the Mach V wing. Just look at Kalien32's beautiful, blue carbon fiber wing Madrig made. The Mach V looks more like the Liberal Style spoiler: https://www.nengun.com/liberal/tailgate-spoiler I want one bad.

Enkei RPF1 Wheel (18x8", 35mm, 5x100, Each) Gunmetal I need these in my life and cannot be the only one. Let's bring these back! Oakos needs to order a minimum of 40sets or something similar. Help spread this around the forums so we can get some more. I realize that Subaru, Toyota, and Volkswagen are the 3 manufactures with a significant line-up that offers 5x100 bolt pattern, so some of the forums below may not be as handy as others. https://forums.nasioc.com/ https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ https://legacygt.com/forums/? https://www.subaruoutback.org/ https://zilvia.net/f/? https://www.rx7club.com/ https://www.toyotanation.com/ https://www.oakos.com/ENK-3798808035GM.htm

In search of a full set of, or half set, of gunmetal grey Enkei RPF1s in the size of 18x8 5x100 et +35. The manufacture's part number is: 3798808035GM I would also seriously consider buying 3/4 of a set. Nothing less than two, however. Here is a link of exactly what I'm looking for: https://www.oakos.com/ENK-3798808035GM.htm I am also still looking for a full set of 18x8 OZ Racing Evo Chrono wheels - 5x100 et +35 with/without tires. I do not care the what the color is of the wheels. I only care that the dimensions are 18x8 +35 with a 5x100 lug pattern. These are the first generation OZ Racing Chrono wheels that I am looking for. If anyone can get me any other info they have on anyone they know who has them, or anyone they know who is selling them, that would be greatly appreciated. *Reference pictures below.*
