The Doctor's '05 White Wagon
DoctorDaveLGT replied to DoctorDaveLGT's topic in Legacy Photos (2005-2009)
Yea, I've been really cautious where I drive it for break-in miles with all the construction going on. It should be done by the time we meet-up to give you the JDM bumper and other goodies. -

Some update pictures for the build. Car is back in the shop getting the final items taken care of and then it's just clutch & turbo break-in and tuning. Stoked to finally have this thing back after a 5 mo project turned into a ~20 mo one. Parts list on the first post has been updated. Final items are: - Fuel pulse damper install - Front & rear window replacements then ceramic tinting - Couple panels are getting repainted to fix original shoddy work - Facelift mirrors install - Engine bay & interior detail -

Good to know on the price. I'll reach out when I'm ready to pull the trigger. -

How much do you sell the EDM consoles for typically? I'm guessing they have all the pieces for the conversion and it's not just the center portion in the pic? -
2008 Legacy JDM headlight conversion
DoctorDaveLGT replied to jcap05's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Not the same size. You'll need JDM fenders to run those headlights. jams20 is correct regarding the wiring. -
Well, got 200 miles on break-in but cutting it short and taking it back to the shop. CEL came on about 50ish miles ago and I assumed it was related to the TGV deletes. Pulled the code today to be sure and it turns outs its P0021. Going to start with changing the oil and checking the OCV's since they were re-used and then to make sure it didn't jump timing. Really hoping this is an easy fix and doesn't turn into a pre-mature death of JMP's 18g. I take some comfort in knowing I got into boost (very low) maybe 3 times at most since the CEL has been on. It did actually go away on it's one yesterday when I went to leave work but came back on when I got into boost about 10 minutes from my house.

That's awesome! You have any pic's of it? No, I put STI decals over the Enkei center caps. I'm not a huge fan of the asymmetry in their flat center cap design. That's a great looking estate you got with the color matched box. Makes me want to get my Vector M box color matched to but then I think the white would look off whenever it's on the black Acura wagon.

Picked up the wagon from the shop today and brought it home where it will be for a bit. Need to rack-up break-in miles on the clutch & JMP's turbo before we continue with WOT logs. Once break-in is done, I'll send logs to the tuner and then it's going back to the shop to finish up a couple smaller items. Hoping I can find some time to wash the wagons this weekend and do a little photoshoot since this is the first time I've had all 3 of them together.

Swung by the shop to upload the base map and fire the car up for the first time this morning. Lip is on and looks ******* amazing, car just needs aligned now that it can move under it's own power. Also grabbed some S402 side sills from the auctions that need cleaned up. Going back on Friday to get idle & cruising logs. I need to upgrade to the facelift mirrors sooner than later. The blue from the grampus signals are a little too much for my liking with this front end. Debating about replicating the "silver" S402 side mirrors but have a feeling I'm going to end up keeping them color matched. Ordered a couple different emblem overlays for the front to see which I'll like better. PS - if anyone knows any place that restores/customizes emblems please let me know. I have the S402 grill badge that's in pretty rough shape and I'd like to get it in tip top shape while also changing the old STI pink color to the new one that's red.

Thanks and yea what's up with that? I noticed they went away like a week or two ago. Miss the ability to passively approve of other's posts. Oh yeah, he's a good dude! He dyno tuned the wagon for me back in 2020 to get away from the Cobb OTS Stg2 map....so much better. I'm gonna have him tune my '18 330i wagon once I get that down pipe installed.

Damn near complete! Lip is getting refinished today and the last item is just waiting on plastic rivets to get delivered so the S402 wheel liner extensions can be attached to the new liners. Front end looks naked without the lip on. Tuner (ShinjiTuned) is working on the basemap and hopefully that'll be loaded up next week and we can start double checking for any leaks and other issues before starting to put the miles on.

The cf eagle landed yesterday! Just a few scuff minor scuff marks and a little dusty but overall it's in really good shape. Since the car is no longer the daily I think I'm going to reach out to Madrig and see about shipping it to him next winter to get a mold on it and start making his own versions. Would be awesome to see a forged cf version of this lip or just have a spare.

Nice little comparison of the stock fenders vs the S402s from the front. God damn the S402s look so much more sexy. The carbon lip is scheduled to be delivered this Friday and shipping was only 109% of the price of the lip/bumper . Still cheaper by a few hundred dollars than I expected so that was nice. Other than that I think the shop is buffing & clear coating the headlights today and getting those mounted. The lenses are in good shape but I want the piece of mind and extra protection so figured no better time to get it done. Can't remember if I ever posted pics of them before but here they are. Had Circuit Demon update the projectors to Morimoto 4TL-Rs, etch the lens and add the demon eyes. Once this project is done I'm going to have to request a day off from work just to update my build thread.

Anyone installed SuperPro Sway bars?
DoctorDaveLGT replied to neeksimons's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
I don't have the SuperPro sway bars but my Cusco suspension bits have been corroding fairly rapidly. From what I've gathered Cusco's finish isn't all that durable either. The Cusco bits have seen 2 Midwest winters and I was religious about underbody spray downs whenever the salt came out. ymmv -
Turbosmart Kompact is what I've been running on mine and love it. Full re-circ, I previously had a GFB adj one. Although I have had my eye on that synapse that Infosecdad posted. Actually reminded me that I need to buy it before I get the car tuned. https://www.evasivemotorsports.com/store/product/turbosmart-kompact-plumb-back-blow-off-valve-subaru-wrx-08-14-forester-xt-08-12-legacy-gt-03-08/
