  1. Nice! I'm planning on doing this as well in the next year or two with an 08/09 so I can swap the front end on as well. I think you can find the language setting at the bottom left side while on any page of the forum. I use the LGT V3.0 format and at the bottom left are 2 drop-downs to change the style lay-out and language.
  2. Ran into an issue where my boost was intermittent yesterday. Driving home from some shopping with the wife and in 2nd gear put my foot down and the car only built up to 9 psi. Shifted into 3rd and put my foot down again and hit 19 psi without issue. I think my bov (Turbosmart Kompact) was sticking because there was another point in the ride I let off the throttle to shift around 4 psi and I heard a noticeable turbo cough/surge. Also noticed my AFR learning crept up to ~8.0 when it's usually around ~3-4 and vacuum at idle was higher as well in the low -10 instead of the usual high -9. Didn't take a log since it happened 5 minutes out from the house. Ordered a rebuild kit (just in case) and some cleaner/lubricant to do some bov maintenance before driving it some more and taking logs. Didn't want to pay for shipping so I also ordered some GoodRidge SS brake lines for my eventual upgrade.
  3. Wanted to share a solution I found for all the wagon owners (usdm/oem bumper) out there with the Q300 exhaust and tucked tips. Found some perfect sized slip-on exhaust tips that look better than the Q300 tips as well...at least imo. No longer have to worry about melting my bumper more then it already is. Burger Motorsports E-Chasis N51/N52 Slip-On Exhaust Tips I have them pushed on as far as they will go and they are very snug while technically not even being 'fully seated'. No clamps, no screw/bolt to hold them on and have never had to adjust them.
  4. Definitely feel pretty lucky about them both. Searched for about 5 months before I found the S2K and it was only a few hours away in IL. I had no clue at the time I bought the legacy it was one of the 1 of 48 '05 SWP MT limited wagons w/ black interior. Seller was a big Subaru guy and mention he'd never seen another legacy wagon with the black interior and I didn't think much of it. Still would have bought it if it had tan interior. Told him if he was ever to sell his Forester to let me know and I'd gladly fly back out to Maine to buy it off him and get some lobster. My white car theme be damned.
  5. Had a pretty productive weekend. Replaced both HID ballasts with new Denso/Toyota ones since the drivers side one failed and switched out the low beam bulbs to Osram D2S CBB's. STI brake booster and MC arrived on Saturday and ordered fog light harness's to undo the LED conversion previous owner did as one of the LED bulbs is starting to fail/flicker. Also made some cosmetic changes to the Honda. Then the wife helped me give both of the girls a good wash.
  6. I second this. It's also helpful to have a second pair of hands when taking it out.
  7. I've listed the set I have for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested. Since he isn't selling these yet I asked madrig to set the price and they're listed at his absolute minimum.
  8. I'm going to be listing the ones I have for sale early next week. Fantastic pieces but with how I painted the bumper I'm not a fan of how they break the black/white line.
  9. Took a few more wot logs to dial in the EBCS. Replaced a good majority of the all the vacuum lines with silicone when I threw the EBCS on...pain in the ass. In other news, renewed my registration and excited for the new plate to come in. Current plate is LEGYGT and I got too many people coming up and asking "legit?". New one is EJ25X and will go well the F20 I have for the S2k.
  10. Long overdue. Madrig sent me a set of the carbon exhaust finishers to try out sometime ago and I finally got around to taking pictures of them. In the pic's they are just being held on with some tape. Quality & fit is outstanding as always! Don't mind the dirty bumper, been doing to some pulls to dial in an EBCS.
  11. If you do go 3-gauge, I'll take that 2-gauge off your hands. I have the single pod and regret not going for the double.
  12. Confirmed the same at the dealership when picking up the solenoid.
  13. Is replacing a boost control solenoid with either OEM/Doorman as straight forward as it seems? Just unplug the connector/vacuum lines and install the new one without any calibrating?
  14. It might be, I took it out tonight and I think I narrowed it down to the boost control solenoid. First couple take offs from a stop with normal/moderate acceleration and the car acted perfectly normal. Boost built normally and the bov (full re-circ) sounded normal. Once the car got up to temp I did some harder pulls and it's odd but the bov sound would change from how it normally sounds at any PSI. It wasn't the same barking as yesterday but still noticeably different from normal. No flutter or compressor surge sounds, it would just change pitch and tone. Final hard pull I did, peak boost was 12 PSI in 1st, 18.75 in 2nd. Recently got pro-tuned this past Saturday and peak boost is set to 17. If it does end up being the boost solenoid it would be hilariously ironic as he mentioned he could have gotten a little more out of it if I had a 3 port controller. Made sure to log the whole drive so I can get my tuners opinion. datalog6.csv
  15. Buddy found me while out running some errands with the wife yesterday. Unfortunately, about 3 miles out from home the turbo started making a barking sound anytime I would get into boost (2-7 PSI) and lifted off the throttle. I got on it a little and noticed it would over-boost but no CELs were thrown and the car would act perfectly fine idling and driving out of boost. Only thing I've had time to do is check to make sure all the vacuum lines are are connected which they are and AFR ratio/learning/correction were within the norm.
  16. Got the results back from the compression and leak-down. Not great, not bad for a 168k mile motor. Looking forward to dyno day and getting away from the Cobb OTS tune. Cyl 1 - 140 @ 19% Cyl 2 - 135 @ 19% Cyl 3 - 130 @ 20% Cyl 4 - 127 @ 20%
  17. Got the turbo inlet on and everything buttoned down. Was pleasantly surprised that the original VF40 w/ 168k miles has virtually no shaft play. Dropped it off at the shop for them to check for vacuum and exhaust leaks as well as compression and leak down. Don't expect anything bad to come back but want peace of mind before dyno day.
  18. This guy, just a a generic kit of a few feet of different size hoses. I saw your about to tackle your's as well. I regret not taking the IM off and replacing a few more gaskets while I'm at it but time is not on my side currently. Getting ready for a dyno day July 11th-12th and busy with plans every weekend until then.
  19. Busy weekend. Started the process of replacing the turbo inlet, bpv hose, general vacuum lines to silicone, and the crank case breather hose that was causing my oil leak. Got the breather hose on before other things pulled me away from the car. Just need to pick up a few small items and should be able to finish it up tonight. What a bitch of a job this has been so far. Took about 2 hours to get everything removed and the breather hose on and clamped down. Also ordered a set of Osram CBI D2S bulbs since driver's side low beam is on it's way out and swung by a fabrication shop to see about getting my new tips put on.
  20. Bump it up and make it yours! Try to see the color in person, on a car, before deciding if it's a possibility. When I changed my wagon from satin white pearl to Toyota's wind chill pearl, seeing the paint on a dealership lot car was the deciding factor. Paint samples are not good and showing subtle color differences. 1. BMW's Silverstone Metallic 2. Audi's Prism Silver 3. Honda's Chicane Silver
  21. This should help you out, don't mind the Crawford AOS. Assuming you have everything in this pic (sensor housing on the bubble wrap and everything to the right of it) plus a non-navigation cubby pod you're good to go and everything will fit.
  22. Yea, I'm not sure why I waited so long to do it. Had I known how much better it was I definitely would have bumped it up the priority list. Also ordered a PLX AFR gauge and single gauge vent pod. Amazon currently has a 5% off coupon for PLX devices which was nice.
  23. Picked up the wagon from the shop yesterday. Upper black interior conversion is 99% done and upgraded the stock rsb with a Cusco 21mm with AVO reinforcements brackets. Amazed at the how much better turn-in feels.
