  1. No. Stock and original TGV. Will take a look at other monitor options. Was intrigued by the large swings in the A table. Usually adding but never over 5 and never at a -. Just filled it back up again last night. Telling me the winter fuel blend is in play now. Ran fine all summer. Very little to no drama after replacing the suspected bad brake booster and other stuff.
  2. Too far down the rabbit hole to quite on it just yet. Plus no fan of CVT. I still say the 5EAT has been the best transmission I've ever owned. Even with it's quirks. Girl has been saving her money. Time to understand how long her break from school is and see if M45 can take the car for an evaluation. Help me understand the rough cold running till heat soak. Just have not found a smoking gun for this. GroupN motor mounts and RalliTec trans bushing stiffener in play it's NVH till heat soak. May consider putting the original motor mounts back on it it will help.
  3. Top passenger for the last one. Yes. Of course view obscured unless you take the snorkus off. Drove it to SF and back yesterday. Filled it up. Had one odd stumble in the city. but all was ok. Fuel trims were actively changing but not alarming numbers. Just now daughter is saying DAM is flapping. Settled back to .875. Did dip to .5... Gahhhh. Looks like were on winter blend now. Time to schedule another rip on the dyno and get this sorted. Of course first check for any air leaks.
  4. 1) Had a bit of a scare the radiator was leaking. Daughter left the driveway with a pool of coolant under the car. Not much but enough to call her to do some prechecks before leaving school parking lot. Bought a new rad in the process anyway. Found the worm gear I put on the hose to the water pump was leaking... But only after full cool down. After the car heat soaked it sealed up. Will change this radiator soon as it's around the same age that the last one started to leak. So this will be the third Rad for the car. 2) Cobb said they repaired my AP by replacing the board. Looks like they just transferred my code to a new one for 150 bucks +tax and put my old cover on it. Haven't tested it yet in the car. Did peek at it in AP manager and my maps are there. Car has been running pretty good but now I can get prepped to get back up to Snail for another tune. Curious how the current will react to the winter blend. 3) Madrig is returning my carbon hood scoop after repair next week. It was starting to flake resin after sitting in the elements since 2018 ish. 4) Still tempted to put new wheels and tires on the car. It's getting time for new tires. Plus I still have yet to put the OEM lower control arms back on. I don't get to drive it much these days. Daughter has pretty much taken it over.
  5. ET said OW! Access port down. First stab at a fix was a new cable suggestion to Cobb. It's likely headed to them after my next call to confirm NOPE not the fix. Works fine connected to the PC. Just not in the car connected to OBD2.
  6. Daughter drove off last week leaving a coolant puddle. Had her inspect prior to restart if it's low or not. It was ok. After inspecting it was a worm gear clamp I used for the hose to the killer B water pump snout. Before inspection went ahead and ordered a new radiator and hood insulator. Radiator arrived and it was the wrong variant. Didn't have the ATF loop for the transmission. Will have it in hand later today to install on my terms or when this one splits. This will be #2 I've replaced since new. Access port stopped working in the car. Discussed with Cobb and they think it's the cable. Well see once it arrives.
  7. Thread Bump. 2006 OBXT just started having this issue. Was intermittent through the entire 2 hours it was running. By the time I got home it was working. Reading threads else ware it sounds like a can bus com error. Curious if it's just a simple solder joint issue like the airbag fault. There is another intermittent Airbag fault that I have been ignoring for years. Usually goes away after a restart. But this is a different topic.
  8. The one item I will suggest regardless is get some new anti sway bars on this unit. The stock one's are anemic at best. The Whiteline set placed on mine at stock height transformed the car. Also there are some braces out there from AVO (possibly others) to help stiffen the rear mount points to the body mount point. It can still be "stock".
  9. Gahhhh... You had me at 510 wagon. Had one in high school. Mainly because my uncle had one new and I loved the car. Back before I picked up the OBXT was contemplating buying another 510 and build it. Opted for the OBXT instead, just didn't have the time or energy with the new lifestyle. Well I was just reminded from FB about my last motor install, has been a year now. First time I rebuilt it was just after my divorce. Still love the car to the point I'll probably never get rid of it.
  10. Hey! Welcome. Unfortunately there seems to be a lot less traffic here these days. Sounds like you hit the jackpot with the car. Although your low mileage you should consider changing the timing belt pullies, tensioner and water pump. Mainly due to the age of your belt and the other items are good measure since your in there. Likely this unit hasn't had the banjo bolt filters removed so back track and read up on those. There are two in the system. Cheers and nice to see there are gems still out there.
  11. Circling wayyyy back... May want to check if the gaskets under the manifold are updated. Not sure 100% about the 08 but the earlier MY had an updated set in later years. There were complaints of Vac leak due to these gaskets getting hard and not creating a seal any more. New units were taller and squared off as opposed to a chamfer edge on the sealing surface.
  12. Yeah I picked up a tap for mine too. Last one galled pretty bad coming out so it was time to chase the cast iron with the tap. The assuming sucks. Were back to DAM .875 and I'm just almost over it. Finding the time to mess with it lately is hard. Kid needs her own car. Was poking around on CL to see what's out there in this MY/vintage. Not buying new for now. I think people are not willing to keep working on them and give up. Know this feeling... But I will win.
  13. Yeah, but limited choices out here. Haven't been driving the car. Next week may have a local shop swap out the original (refreshed) LCA. Ball joints and endlinks. Still need to order the endlinks. Also my AC is finally not blowing cold so it's time to get some orings in stock and have the shop look for leaks. I just have no time right now. Been working 12 to 13 hours a day. By the end there is zero motivation to go digging into the car.
  14. Frustrating part is he will not tell me what he's changing. I have all stock parts externally except for the JMP turbo and gutted up.
  15. Have not. Will see what options cobb has available for those. Long term AF all changed but within spec. Still looks like I'd benefit from another pass to true some items up. Another thought is the difference from winter fuel and summer blend. Just finding the time to get up there is a challenge. That's an entire day out of pocket for me that I can't spare right now.
  16. Gahhhh. Can't find my 2.2k ohm resistors left over from Radio Shack purchase almost 10 years ago. I know they are in the horde but can't find what box where are in. Need to change this Mod to Stealth mode. Ordered some more from Amazonia will be here tomorrow. On the good news side of things have been running the initial tune from Snail post brake booster replacement. DAM is sticking at 1 and there is zero hesitation before building boost like I was feeling with the revisions
  17. Ooof. Ugly tater chips. Definitely new Crank, Pistons, Rods would need a full inspection to be sure they hadn't digested any debris and went out of round on the piston side.
  18. Try giving Brian a shout? Always good to have options. As for the internals. Yeah there is cam journal wear. But not awful. Looks like it's time to crack open the block and see what else may have failed to give you the glitter. Keep in mind you will need to replace several items and you may have debris in the cam gears. OCV should just be replaced. Last round I chose not to reuse my old cam gears. Just in case opening them up and cleaning them would be the downfall of a new motor build.
  19. Thanks for the write up. Now to go get mine flashed to a different rev of my tune. Daughter just came back and DAM was dipped to .0875 so Rev1 is going back in service. I need to get this back to the Dyno and a total map refresh.
  20. FYI: Brain engaged this weekend. Moved the car to the initial dyno map. No hesitation. No faults so far. Long term trims are in better shape. Need to confirm this is the map I think it is with the tuner today as the date stamp is a couple years old. Odd. Noticing AFR going down to 11 when on the gas. 14 ish when cruising. Still want another pass to clean things up on the the dyno. Crazy how much just this break booster starting to fail sent me in a tail spin.
