  1. Ordered one yesterday and it will be going on a new assembly before install... One of those replace it before it fails items.
  2. Yeah I know about the final drive and was curious about the GT real world tach perspective. May consider switching or adding a GT some day just for this reason. I really have to keep my foot out of it to get a decent MPG average.
  3. Whats the RPM at 80 for the the GT? OBXT is 3K and I want more leg on this to help gas milage... Just looks to be a pig to swap everything over so a not going to happen senario. Your getting run over out here at 70. So good average.
  4. MAF sensor cleaning OCVS may need replacment Check Vacuum leaks everywhere Make sure your connection to the turbo is intact To name a few.
  5. Lines fit fine on the NOS 16G I just picked up from Brian. Good to know the line size is larger on the 16G BNR Compressor for others to pick that up. I would have been scrambling for reducers.
  6. Cobb 3 port instructions remove the pill in the system as well. Not that I have one right now.
  7. Thats what is on now the BB that came in the filter kit and I hope to hell I havn't damaged this turbo not understanding. Curious to see what Brian has to say to me about this mistake. *EDIT* Just spoke to Brian... G16 needs the "unrestricted" BB. Meaning the BB in Mikes kit. Crossing fingers now I han't hosed myself.
  8. It came with neither instructions or a Banjo bolt. I have emailed Brian for clarification. Already swapped for the larger orifice BB that came with Mikes kit.
  9. So from what your saying I have it wrong and need to swap the bolt for the 16G to be fed properly?
  10. Sorry if this has not hit home with the answers provided so far. By definition the 16G is not factory so should it use the factory banjo bolt or the one supplied in the kit? Currently running 16G with the factory bolt. Hoping I got it right.
  11. Just to rediterate one point about the coolant lines. On my install of the 16g I didn't order a coolant line kit from BNR. Figured a factory unit would be best for my situation. They are on factory back order and could not arrive till next year. So decided to swap them off the VF40... Well as the black pearl found they will not work on the EVO rotating assembly. The lines are closer together on the EVO than the VF40. Solution was to cut the tab bridge off both sides of the stock line assembly making them single assemblies hard lines to attach. They both needed a slight tweak in the vise to get the mounting flanges to a point where they can be used. It was a small tweak on each pipe. Main thing is take your time and fit it once.
  12. Got the banding straps. Thanks Bman. Will install my BP kit this weekend.
  13. Glad to have picked up my filter kit a while back... I'm thinking Thursday I'll blow the car apart again and get the new turbo and old gutted up pipe in service. This forum has been awsome finding you guys and learning so much about this car. Infamous Performance, BNR and Cryo have been a pleasure to do buisness with.
  14. Acctually walked into walmart today for school supplies with the kidlet. Noticed the RotellaT6 and then the Mobile 1 TDT 5w40. Both about the same price I beleive. Next round going to try one or the other. Thoughts on the the TDT formula in these gas motors. Sean
  15. LOL Awsome! Can we get back to some discussions about these turbos please? I'm interensted but who is supporting them here in the states? Seems we have to trust big time that this dealer is legit. Least with BNR if I do have an issue he's in country.
  16. I get it the BNR16 looks like a stock VF40 but I need to pass sniff test on the dyno at two seperate RPM. So I'm still unsure having the 16G on a stock map would give the numbers I need to pass.
  17. Sick obsession of trying to keep all the parts with the car as long as possible. I'm fully interested in the 16G for my goals but would need it to be able to pass the visual and emisions layer. I have failed for stupid crap (dipstick cap cracked) on other cas. I didn't check last round what the tester looked at. I have one more year till it all has to be stock. May grab an STI or 07-09 lgt up for my smog "stock" setup. Considering trying to get passed with the resistor mod in play.
  18. Still looking at options if I need to replace now and they have a replacement cartredge for the VF40 for 500. I need to keep a vf 40 of some flavor for the bi anual smog check one way or another. I see them from 250 to 600 on the interweb. Hmmm.
