  1. as an OBXT driver, don't throw them away. that would be dumb. they aren't any different than LGT brakes though, so no need to pour anymore cheetah blood on them.
  2. There is also a damper in the slave. I might look it up later and post a link to a walkthrough. There's also a drain plug you can buy to replace that damper you already found, but will need to look that up later too. Just got up and need some coffee first. Priorities.
  3. @utc_pyro Where did you get that mounting bracket for your wastegate actuators? Removed from an oem actuator? I wish i had a spare oem actuator to do that with...
  4. this is exactly why i buy my hard A from the middle shelf. Monarch and Potters are too cheap and gross, but i'm fine with the average players in the alcohol arena. no reason to start appreciating bottles that cost over $30.
  5. i washed it yesterday and am in love with it all over again (for the billionth time)
  6. Probably easier to just cut a scoop out of a newer wrx/sti and have it implanted into a lgt hood.
  7. can get a rebuild kit from Subaru. then you just take it apart, clean, replace parts and done. the only real trick is putting back on the "zip tie" thing that holds the boot on, but if you think about it it's pretty easy to put on with a screw driver and some patience.
  8. i gave up an OEM axle once too, and regret that decision every day...
  9. i was just about to ask him if he'd make a list of preferred parts (from experience and/or personal preference), or at least ask about a few specific items like catch cans.
  10. hey now, i've replaced the radiator, the oil, and even washed it. and i bought it a perrin steering damper thingy, but apparently that doesn't install itself.
  11. i left mine at home today. Wife got a 2018 Pilot and used that a few days last week to get accessories installed. This week i get to drive her old CR-V to sell it. and of course we have contractors using the garage so i can't even do any maintenance while i have a spare car...
  12. That's the craziest and best thing i've heard in a while. Most people won't even notice since it's split between sides. * Thumbs up *
  13. I've had my stuff deleted for years and no issue (that i'm aware of). Fully deleted both solenoids and did the dremel work to keep the pressure sensor. KS Tech block off plates and screws.
  14. Most of us are here for the same reason: to find, offer or request help on these cars. Let's try to keep this issue to a single thread, and feel free to edit the original post with updates and/or add additional posts as new questions or discoveries arise. you can even "bump" this thread, if you feel so inclined, to try to capture the attention of more members. I've merged your 3 threads into one, and deleted one of your "first posts". lastly, let's try to keep it civil. JMP offered advice as was desired, and only requested that you keep this issue contained to a single thread. the "old timers" around here might come off as prickly sometimes, but spend their free time supplying us with interesting posts about their projects as well as helping others out when needed (and even when not needed ). carry on!
  15. Question, if i put on spec b trailing arms with their front mount bracket, the wheels will be pulled forward in the wheel well at stock outback height, yeah? Can you just swap the outback bracket on? I've never seriously considered the parts.
  16. Of course, like the third time my wife (or anyone) ever drives my car, she gets hit. Happy friekin' birthday. Thankfully it appears minor enough to buff out. On front drivers bumper right in front of headlight. And i've still never hit or been hit by another car in my life. She total'd her first car though. *rollseyes* EDIT: and i had her car to get trade in quotes so we could see what we had to buy a new(er) car. I had it washed and then vacuumed it out and threw out all the wrappers and such. She gets mine in a collision...
