  1. Invidia catless downpipe for sale here: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/fs-gi-va-invidia-catless-downpipe-5mt-and-cobb-accessport-192999.html It's for a 5MT, has a few thousand miles on it. Located in Springfield, VA--$225 for local pickup.
  2. It would simply be added security. There's a slim chance that your TMIC could suffer from endtank separation at stock levels (mine was starting to), but I'm not about to broadcast a "sky is falling" type message and say that everyone who owns an LGT needs to do this. At stock boost levels, take a look at your TMIC on the front passenger corner. If it looks like the tabs might be starting to fail I would recommend the bullet proof kit. If everything looks to be in good shape, save your money and check it every once in a while. If you ever plan to go stage 2 and are leaning towards keeping the stock TMIC, just bulletproof it now and be done with it. Final note: if your endtanks separate completely, this kit cant really help you. You need to catch the problem before the intercooler actually develops a significant leak if possible.
  3. Thanks for the orders, need to cut up a few more kits!
  4. if it failed open why wouldn't I be able to get into 5th gear? Wouldn't it be operating exactly the same was as it is now with no thermostat? You don't recommend any thermostat in particular do you?
  5. You too far away. Famaya is sending me some GT letters, so no worries.
  6. Want to buy: set of OEM springs. Sedan/wagon doesn't really matter to me at this time. I'll pay $20.
  7. Looking at possibly grabbing a derale 13011 thermostat. Anyone know if these will fail "open" or "closed" or have a good reason why I should get a different thermostat?
  8. I'm not positive about fitment / price, but this might be a good deal for someone looking to upgrade to brembos: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2405714 $1000 for both f/r.
  9. That's funny. What did he even want it for? I'm not even sure if these have any application other than the car they come off of. If no one takes this I may just try to do a muffler delete for my buddy's WRX for shits and giggles. Good chance to mess around with my brother's welder on something that doesn't matter. I'm curious. PM me and let me know what you would actually want for it since you say it's "inflated."
  10. Yeah, I'm ruthless. I'm asking for a CASE of beer on Nasioc, lol. Most of the guys over there probably aren't old enough to buy beer tho!
  11. I have an OEM catback exhaust from a 2011 STI Hatch if anyone wants it. I'd love a 6-pack of some decent pale ale for it, but I'll give it away for free.
  12. When you plug everything into the car you will have more parameters to choose from. Certain ones wont show up when you are just setting things up in your living room. Bah, I didn't read the other posts, looks like someone else already pointed this out.
  13. Anyone interested in any of the items here: 2011 STI turbo $600 2011 STI TMIC $300 2011 STI injectors 2011 STI fuel rails 2011 STI fuel pump 2011 STI turbo inlet 2011 STI headers 2011 STI up pipe 2011 STI FPR 2011 STI air pump 2011 STI TGV sensors 2011 STI boost control solenoid Someone local is selling (Sterling, VA) and seems pretty motivated to get rid of the stuff. I picked up a few things from him today for free and told him I would see if anybody else is interested in stuff. Items with prices are OBO I'm sure, others are "make an offer". Not even sure what is usable for LGTs on that list, just figured I'd throw it up.
  14. Well, kit is in the mail to Finland--expect it in 7-10 days. I hate filling out those stupid little customs forms! One more kit should go out today and I'll be installing one for someone else this week--thanks for the orders, time to start cutting up some more kits!
  15. Sorry, not looking to trade for stock unless it is for a well-done mesh DIY. I actually just boxed up my plastidippe stocker to send off to a new owner.
  16. Just gonna throw this out there: I have an Rrev carbon fiber mesh grill. Fitment is fine, but it is missing some of the epoxy coating on the CF in the center at the top. When you close the hood it is mostly covered. Basically, I'm not a fan of the CF. My plan is to epoxy over the bare spot, sand well so it is smooth, and the then either plastidip the grill or pay someone to paint-match it to my RBP wagon. That said, I'd be perfectly happy with a well-executed mesh grill with either chrome or black paint. If you have something along those lines and would like to trade for my CF grill, let me know. I'm not willing to ship, as I would like to see the replacement grill in person. If nothing comes of this I'll just repair / paint the grill I have.
  17. Thanks, Dave. I'm about to ship off a kit to Finland this week! Craziness. I'm back up and running as far as producing the kits. I managed to keep track of all the pieces-parts through the move except for my hand files, but I'll replace those if I don't find them during the labor day holiday. Thanks for the orders, everyone. I don't have all of the kits cut/final yet, but I think it's safe to say that well over half the kits produced in this run have been sold and shipped--simply amazing. Happy Labor Day Weekend, all.
  18. Says the guys who already owns a sick set of goldies
  19. Lol, there's actually zero shifting on your drive home--you have an autobox. No impact on letting the car shift into first for you except you'll avoid the "lurch" that you probably get when you downshift into first at any speed above 5mph.
  20. Brake pads are cheaper than a transmission. I could understand if you were going down a hill that was long/steep enough to cause significant brake fade / failure that downshifting to 1st might be necessary--I doubt that's the case though.
  21. I'd potentially be down for that, will probably be at least a month or two from now tho (pre-winterish). My garage is pretty huge though. Once I get all the crap cleaned up from moving there will be room in there to two cars at a time. If you did two full details would you need a place to crash (not a problem, just wondering)?
  22. Why would you downshift to 1st if you are going that fast--so you can race the engine and then immediately shift back to 2nd? Don't downshift to 1st, really almost no reason to ever do it.
  23. Damnit, xero. I think I'm gonna have to pay you to come down and spend a day in my garage. Once I get everything cleaned up from the move I'll probably be in touch. Bastard.
