  1. How long after the tune did it start acting up? You may want to re-tune if there were possible failures brewing during your original tune.
  2. Wastegate flapper is off. I've fixed a few, but I've tried many, and it's a pain in the ass to do. It doesn't warp the cast iron, but it does beat up on the weld holding the actuator arm pretty good. I have new exhaust housings but you have to be extremely careful when you remove the old one. They are usually on extremely tight and if you're not very careful, you can bend blades on the turbine.
  3. Too bad 1 and 2 have license plates blocking the front. I think 1 or 3. 3 does look good in your second photo-kind of digging on the black driving light surrounds.
  4. I have a 5K evap cannister if you are interested. PM me and we'll work out a price.
  5. ^^^Ever so slightly overdone, but truly tasteful.....GAK!
  6. Even a Studebaker Avanti........
  7. Little Chitbox Chevy Sonic.......Can make anything look pretty cool with the right body additions.
  8. ^^^^I find this appalling, but I agree with FJuan. Very cool showtruck once finished.
  9. Looks like it's just at about the perfect stance to me. I like a little between the tires and fenders myself. Take off the rubber rear fender "protectors" as they are the major point of rust on most of these cars.
  10. I"m truly sorry for you. Some asshole blew the turbo on that car before and replaced it and immediately traded it in. We see this all the time and it sucks. I put up a thread about ethics when it comes to trading in cars, and unfortunately, there are a lot more out there that don't give a crap about anyone and they do that rather than fix the car. Just noticed you said it was the OE turbo at 154K and most likely what the PO did was find a used turbo to put on so it looks like the OE. A LOT of that goes on. Again, sorry for you. Certainly can give you a bad taste regarding Subarus, but know one thing that when you have it right, you'll not beat these cars for bang for the buck.
  11. You can reach the back of the PS head to remove that banjo filter from underneath the car -not easily, but it can certainly be done.
  12. Pull the plugs on those two cylinders. If they're full of gas, turn it over slowly by hand at first and pump the gas out. Remove the FP fuse and then turn it over with the starter to finish blowing it all out.
  13. Bottom missing is OK. Top is what keeps everything from melting, although the aftermarket DP don't have any as awfulwaffle said. You can easily fabricate one for the top of the converter with sheet aluminum, some aluminum flat stock and a bit of patience.
  14. You lucked out the bags didn't blow. Looks like you'll be on the road shortly with a nice car for very little investment. Good luck with the project.
  15. Bug Chariot from Lost in Space (1960's version)
  16. Flush the entire system with Motul 600 and you'll really feel a difference.
  17. Look at your radiator fans. You probably have a broken blade on one of them
  18. DRL box could be holding back voltage if it's failed inside. Make sure and unplug it
  19. If you don't know what movie or what car, I'm not going to tell you. You must be young.
  20. But THIS is badass from a badass movie
  21. Here's another sweet ride from a movie called Corky
  22. Hokey ass movie called Corvette Summer with Mark Hamil.
  23. Parked on a semi-steep slope? Need I say more?
