  1. The core and the reservoir tank is the only difference with an STi vs legacy turbo, though I find it funny it has an AT and MT spec. The tank is .48 vs .5 quarts ????
  2. the only difference is fan sizes, which might also mean fan mounting points?
  3. Straight from Subaru. Specs of the 2005 Legacy GT and NA cooling system. Turbo NA
  4. Put a ej20x in my coworkers 2005 LGT the other weekend. initially hooked it up with a vf52, he said it pulled real good up top but was gutless from a standstill, like... couldn't go up hills gutless. we put the twinscroll on it this weekend and he says it's much happier but he misses the top end power, next up is seeing if we can up the rev limit since these ej20x's went up to 8k or something and keep making power to like 7500-7700. I've done this swap about six times and haven't had an issue with any of them.
  5. What I like probably isn't going to be what you like. Are they new or used? I'd take the one with the options I want and service history. silver will show dirt far less than any color, silver can also hide scratches and swirls better, white is a good one for hiding scratches and swirls but you need to wash it daily. it would feel like months between washes on my silverthorn metallic impreza. but my carbide grey legacy can't seem to make it more than a few days.
  6. All of that is normal. Eyesight will disable itself if it can't see well, judging by the fact that's it's 8 degrees outside i imagine the windshield is not clear My mother in-law made a comment of how "all the lights make it look like a cockpit" lmao. the dimmer dial above your left knee while seated may turn them off, but it'll probably turn more off than you want.
  7. Paramount Centre Collision Services, they make magic happen
  8. I believe in the severe service maintenance schedule. Do the 30k's @ 30/90/150/210. 60k's @ 60/120/180/240. And your timing belt every 105k or 10 years.
  9. your check engine light is illuminating without the key in the ignition? if so.. I'd be suspect of the BIU or the ECM.
  10. Wild build! Subaru has some pretty colors, but they've never held up the test of time. Pretty sure this one is Arcadian Green.
  11. Sorry for not explaining it well. F comes before L in the alphabet, so the only 3.6R's not affected by this TSB would be the 2019's starting with 3002280. All 2015-2018 and maybe some 2019 MY Legacy 3.6R's are in this TSB. The fix was not put in to the production line until the 2019 MY starting with VIN L3002280
  12. if the last 8 of your VIN is L3002280 or high the TSB does not apply to you. The letter translates to production year. F = 2015, G = 2016, H = 2017, J = 2018, L = 2019
  13. other than the STi, all of those models have CVT's, but that's likely "tsbsearch" doing wonky stuff with the tsb's applicability of the "12-19 Impreza". I actually see this problem a lot and assumed it was rear main before i learned of the TSB. CVT fluid with mileage on it looks a lot like engine oil.
  14. It's the secondary air pump if you still have one.
  15. without a scan tool you're not going to know. a 2015 doesn't have reverse automatic braking but I do believe it still has the sensors that beep at you before you hit shit. and eye sight is so far integrated in to the car the only thing you can visually inspect is the condition of the windshield.
  16. many moons ago when my buddy had bought a '13 accord brand new and i met up with him for some lunch to check it out, we were sitting in his car hanging out, key on engine off and "all that electronic crap" was on of course. The 30-45 minutes we sat there killed the battery and he was not able to start it, brand new car with a piece of shit battery i tell ya what. My '17 had a battery installed just prior to me picking it up last october, but... that's normal lifespan for a car battery. Mine even needed the charging logic update so it'd spent all its life not knowing how to charge the battery, tsk tsk. We just went through some abnormally cold weather, days in a row not going above freezing with nights in the teens and it started every time I needed it to.
  17. I think a GX is a mid-level trim. Slightly upgraded from the base, with additional option packages.
  18. Is that even legal?? Like buddy... if I got in to a car that had air bags deployed I'd get right back out of it and walk.
  19. You can verify that by looking at the data. commanded and actual throttle opening.
  20. Yeah, I imagine whatever issue they are experiencing would be the same with any vehicle manufacturer. Unless they have another problem free 2018 Legacy Limited, using it in exactly the same way as the one with "issues", it's not likely the car. If you're worried about the "Component Area Network of devices", it actually stands for Controller Area Network and everyone and their mother calls it CANBUS/CAN bus, don't buy anything newer than.... I dunno, Dodge started doing it in 2000 or 2001? Subaru started in 2008 or 9? My 2001 Legacy uses that "electronic crap" to change the blend door on the hvac
  21. Verify timing. I'd be surprised if the monitored cat was bad without throwing a code, but it's possible.
