ebo03
Oh and I will have Racer X TMIC with thermal dispersant coating and charge pipe up for sale soon. TMIC is also already tapped with GM IAT sensor and I'll include pig tail wiring for complete conversion to speed density.

ebo03
I will be removing the bumper tonight to tidy up a few things so I will take some detailed pics of the piping then. Overall I'm pretty pleased with how it all turned out.

ebo03
That's some hot stuff right there folks. Hot=bad...cold=good. We'll see what this BNR 20G is fully capable of next weekend. I'm curious as to how much power the TMIC was leaving on the table. Jorge said my IATs were going from around 90°F to 160-170°F above 5k RPM. That's quite a jump. When I went (100 degree day) it was the limiting factor for pushing the car more (not the TD05 which is what I was betting on). I'm really waiting to see your numbers before I take the plunge. ebo03
eb - looking good man. When's the tune? Next weekend. Not sure of exact day and time at this point. I'll probably hear from IAG early in the week to nail it down.
SBT
Give my regards to IAG. They toured-me through their shop last year when I was in the area and needed to get some "travel" repairs done on my LGT wagon. Awesome place and you know the moment you walk in there that Subie is the language of choice and it's uttered in reverence. Was amazed at their clean-room engine-build shop, the layout and the tech-savvy of everyone I met. I'm sure they'll take good care of you. - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -

ebo03
This has been a fantastic build journal. Great progress. On the edge of the seat for more. Thanks Mark. I must say I did not intend on taking things this far but once I got started I wanted to do it right. I left IAG in August thinking "The top mount is leaving power on the table. And I CAN build my own front mount setup. It'll take time but I CAN do this." I would say I have about 50-60 man hours into the FMIC. And that's hands on, in the garage hours...not including researching parts and all online. Sure, I took my sweet ass time and really enjoyed the entire process. And In the end I succeeded. Well I guess I should wait to say that until after it passes IAG's boost pressure test and makes considerably more power on Saturday! Fingers are slightly crossed b/c well, you just never know what issues could arise. It's safe to say that I'm done with the car power wise after this weekend. E85 is not available around here so that is not a feasible option. The only things I'm considering are a set of Gramlights 57Extreme 19x9.5 +43 with either 275 or 285/35/19 tires and maybe HIDs and headlight blackout. I'll have IAG take a quick look this weekend just to see how much massaging it will take to fit. That won't happen until this coming summer at the earliest as I'm about to get a set of Prodrive GT1 for the winter. I just can't stand the granny OEM wheels any longer, even if only for winter, and don't like using spacers to clear the Brembos. I like the TSW Nurburgring but 8" wide and running a 245 tire just isn't doing it for me. Needs a more aggressive look damnit!

ebo03
Take a peak at the 57xx perhaps too, just a thought Can't say I'm a huge fan of those. Do you know what sizes they make those in 5x100 bolt pattern? I'm definitely going for 19's and at least 9" wide.

ebo03
Changed oil today before hitting the road for Saturday's tune. Went with Rotella T6 5w-40. Been using Castrol synthetic since owning my previous STI. I'm not afraid of change.

Selling out on me for your parents...unbelievable. I'm watching the Tech/BC game here right now. And their shitty offense is stalling out inside the 5 yard line. It's so painful to watch them at times.
ebo03
Previous car just came off the dyno. Boost pressure test didn't go well. They are pulling it apart to figure out where it's leaking.
ebo03
Tightened clamps and they think it's fixed. They couldn't fully pressurize it b/c the inlet wouldn't stay attached to the turbo above 14 psi. No big deal, hopefully, as that side is under no pressure.
