Tommy Kaira rear lip and DAMD side skirt extensions!

nice! i want to see those wheels.

I asked again today, supposed to still be on for delivery this month. I'm skeptical:rolleyes:

Was he there at lunch time?......

haha! around noon actually yeah

good choice going to TK rear lip. Going to order mine pretty soon. :icon_twis

thank you sir, I must have looked at every single kit they make for these cars and this was my favorite rear (non full-bumper). The gialla was a close second, but it is a bit too "chunky".

Due to the tiny visual differences between JDM and USDM rear bumper from my observation, the TK rear lip is my top choice. Reason being that JDM rear bumper have two indent area with reflectors that the USDM bumper lack of. Most JDM aftermarket rear lip leaves two opening for them reflectors but TK does not and also put in their own reflectors to above the exhaust openings. :spin:

Also, today swapped out my headlights for the 2013 facelifted lights and installed Morimoto HID kits in the headlights (4300k) and foglights (3000k).

Reminds me of this! (probably the cut of the lights)

Probably the nicest 5th gen out there!

^thanks man!

Did you buy them online? If so where? Thx man.

Sam at Andrewtech Automotive ordered them for me. I got a discount since he gets wholesale cost from our local subaru dealership.

Went by the bodyshop with the rear lip and skirts for them to take a look and get an estimate. The plan is drop it off for a couple of days probably the week of Feb 11. I also realized one tiny issue, which is that the side skirt extensions are going to need to have holes cut in them for the puddle lights. Not a huge deal though.

Braved the cold to do a quick test fit of the aero parts and snapped some pics.

The side skirts are hanging down about an inch or so because we haven't cut holes for the puddle lights yet, they'll sit flush after the real install.

Enjoy and please excuse the salty filth.

Quite happy with the look and the relative heights from front to sides to rear. It always bugs me when cars don't look balanced from the side.

Looks like my highly scientifc eyeballing of photos seems to have worked out ok again.

That looks awesome, it inspires me to do something similar yet different.

Can we have more pics of the rear end specifically from straight behind?

Like it a lot. Those side skirts seem super lower though. I'd be worried about something happening to them.

Thanks guys, I'm definitely excited to get the parts painted and properly installed.

Again, do keep in mind that the side skirts are hanging down a decent amount just due to the puddle lights not allowing them sit flush in these pics. They will be pretty low, but not nearly as low as they are here.

also, I think the 19's will allow me to push the overall ride height up a bit.

Delta - this is the only pic i took of the rear from straight on. The lip adds some outward depth, I think I'm probably going to have the exhaust tips extended out an inch or two.

Stoptech has been saying "the brakes will ship tomorrow" every day this week. grrr....

I did get my Accessport cradle from Rallysportdirect.

Took a couple of minutes to tuck the cable and I'm all set. Nice to actually be able to monitor boost now:) It's a little bit cheaply made, but it does what it advertises.

Someone needs to come up with a nice and clean gauge pod for us. I wouldn't want a pillar pod, and the dash mount is usually not attractive. The only place I would really want to mount it is in the bottom corner of main gauge cluster trim, so that the new guage would block the MPG from view Maybe I'll buy a spare trim piece and mess around it with it at some point...

today was a good day..

Brakes are here:) 332mm. Pic from my man Sam at Andrewtech, sorry he didn't unwrap it. I'll get some better ones soon.

Also snapped a pic of the DBA rears I'm using with yellow powdercoated STi rear brembos w KNS bracket.

And thanks to my boys over at FALKEN I got some new tires in for the new wheels. 265.35.19 FK453

Still no word on wheel ETA; I'm told they left Japan already. Probably in customs now.

Rear lip and side skirts are getting painted/installed Feb 11-14, then the brakes go on Feb15.
