That an anti-lag/spark cut launch control? How if you don't mind me asking.

That is Launch Control that is available on the cobb access port. It is pretty fun to mess with. But I never really launch the car. There is no need to. haha

I used it a lot in my built WRX for Autocross.

Well Time for an update. Yesterday was slightly frustrating to say the least. The struts that were ordered for the rear will not fit. So I called up my friends at PIA and was able to get my hands on 2010 wrx struts. After comparison they were the exact same height and diameter. They also have the same mounting style with a small difference. The bottom of the strut where the mounting bolt goes through is slightly smaller. A little drilling should fix that and I won't have to worry about piecing a kit together with a universal kit. So I then called up Open Road Tuning and within a few minutes Andrew said we could definitely do an exchange no problem. I love good customer service! So onto some pictures of what was accomplished yesterday.

We mounted the tire with my new lugs and checked clearances. We were trying to figuring out how much of my fender I will have to cut and modify. We also went full wheel lock to make sure I have clearance on the inner fender wall. And I do!

We also remounted the tank, blocked off all unused ports, and ran the fittings required for the air lines and such.

And finally we mounted the rear brembo's as well. This took some time as the rear brembo adapter brackets from fastwrx.com DO NOT fit how they should. So this required some small modifications to the rear hub. Your rear dust covers are also too small so you will have to bend or cut your covers. I went with bend as this still leaves you with some protection against rocks getting into your calipers and rotor.

That is all we accomplished yesterday. Today I hope to get the FMIC mounted and the front bumper modified to fit. The reason I am doing this is for clearance issues with my wheels and tires. I am hoping to flare out the bumper on the wheel wells by bending the inside bumper brace. I will take pictures to day to show what I mean. Time to get to work!

Well today I can't spend much time working on the car because the wife demands some time. So all I did was install the FMIC and trim the bumper to fit nicely. I also completed some random odds and ends.

With the front bumper back on I can start modding the fenders! That will be a tmrw or later tonight job. Depending on how long my leash is tonight. haha

This is going to be a good build, I grew up in Tumwater and went to Black Hills High School (grad 2006). I now live in San Luis Obispo but I own a house in Lacey. I wish I lived there because I have not seen another leggy in months lol. I live right next to AccuAir and my close friend is the sales manager too ;) I am planning on the same setup minus the flairs. CANT WAIT!!!

Well guys today was a long stressful day. Not really stressful...just really not wanting to mess anything up. So today started off with mounting the fender flares where i want them and then measuring.... a multitude of times. After I figured out where I wanted them to sit i outlined the inside of the fender with chalk. I then took a permanent marker and marked where the chalk was, after that it was go time.

Just so you know, I have done a lot of work on these cars. This is more nerve racking than starting up your car for the first time after replacing everything under the hood. So after cutting the first time, I put the wheels back on and lowered the car. I need to cut more. So I remounted the fender flares and remeasured, I have another inch i can take off. My chalk was too fat to get all the way up there. So I cut it again.

So after cutting it again, I ran into another problem. The wiring is hanging too low! So after removing some brackets and tucking the wiring up higher. I lowered it back down.

Now we are getting somewhere! I have about another 1/4 to 1/2 inch or so that I can lower the car before I start rubbing on the inner fender. But I need to adjust the coils to go lower before I can do that.

So the next day I get available will be used for cutting the rear fenders. I also ordered the rear struts today and will hopefully be seeing those in the next week or so.

And one last photo to show some tire sticking out!

I also rolled the lip of the fender to keep sharp metal away from my tire with a fender roller. I don't have a picture of that unfortunately.
