  1. "does anyone even read these fourms anymore? Have they officially died?" It just so happens that your forum here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive.
  2. Yeah after the bad luck of blowing up the tranny in about two months after going stage 3, I was pretty lucky because I took it to a shop I used before and trusted, and they just happened to work closely with TransGo. Plus I thought there had to be something better and was willing to gamble at that point. That was an expensive couple of months.
  3. Glad I got rid of IPT valve body after a couple of weeks.
  4. In for results. I think I'd be interested even if horsepower was even after the conversion. You gonna start taking orders for conversions once you get the wrinkles ironed out? I still need to get my center diff bullet proofed too so I could kill two birds with one stone.
  5. That's a good savings even if fuel prices continue to fall due to US/Can producing more energy. What's neat is you should be able to pretty much do back to back runs to see how performance is impacted by propane vs. gas.
  6. Curious to see how many miles you can get out of tank before refilling. Can you stop a mini mart and grab a bbq tank if you're running low. Or better yet can you tap into your fuel supply for a bbq if you're tailgaiting at game.
  7. Not totally relevant in this situation, but fyi If you have a Cobb you can also just dial back your timing directly with the AP if you get bad gas and not even change the map.
  8. So will that limit your horsepower vs. gas? Don't they list the kit for the V8 for only 300hp?
  9. Very true, that's why I never post any. Plus I don't want to hurt my chances if I ever run for office. I will miss your videos though.
  10. Any advantage over using a boost a pump? http://www.kennebell.net/KBWebsite/Accessories_pg/Boost%20A%20Pump/layouts/boostapump.htm It activates only at full throttle or boost, so it doesn’t “bloat” or “overload” the fuel system at idle or cruise where full time pumps and extra fuel are not required. So, the fuel isn’t heated (gasoline begins to boil at 87°). No “cool can” is necessary. And it’s much easier to install (cut one wire) and more reliable than fuel pumps. And since the BAP is also a voltage regulator (exclusive kb) it helps prevent engine damage from low voltage/ reduced pump flow during electrical overload or failure. It will attempt to stabilize the pump voltage and maintain sufficient fuel flow.
  11. It will be available the week after bmx045 sells his car.
  12. I did a wtf double take the first time I watched this video this morning. Then I noticed the top numbers on your speedometer are kilometers.
  13. Driving in normal auto mode on highway, was in 5th. Would have to be going pretty fast at for a WOT shift from 4th to 5th in normal auto mode. I sure CD could answer the technical part better, but I believe 4th & 5th have fewer clutches and share an input shaft. I had to have my case machined so they could add extra 4th & 5th gear clutches.
  14. Because you'll wind up with a 4EAT. Don't ask me how I know.
  15. Not really looking for answers, but here's some faq's: How many extra clutches can be added? Will anybody ever crack the TCU software? Will the '08's ever get a valve body? When should I consider having the torque convertor upgraded? Will an upgraded torque convertor improve my 0 - 60 mph or quarter mile times? What are the highest documented whp levels being run and for how many miles? Will a valve body improve my 0 - 60 mph times or quarter mile times? How does IPT get away with charging $669 (was $769) for a $0.50 spring? Does Sport Mode and Manual Mode increase line pressure? What model year valve bodies can be be swapped? When are center differential bushings necessary? Does anybody offer an LSD for the 5EAT? Is there a link to CD's valve body upgrade walkthrough? How do I reset the TCU? Is there a link for Free SSM? Why does it rev higher in the winter until it warms up? Any available rebuild kits? How can I drive the car after I've blown out 5th or 4th gear? The Cobb AP won't clear the TCU error codes, what can I do?
  16. Should be able to find one for cheap then. Have seen them used on e-bay for 2005's for $100 - $150 when I was thinking about a spare. Good luck man, I hope you get that thing straightened out once and for all and get some enjoyment out of it!
  17. If your car has an immobilizer you would probably have to have the dealer install the ecu for it to work.
