2006 LGT - pictures!!!

Still no satellite radio or MP3 playback or steering wheel audio controls or user accessible aux. input??? Stupid, stupid, stupid.

If Subaru wants to compete against premium cars, they really are missing the boat with their audio systems.

The navi is cool and all but now we all have a trim piece to add screens to dawg!

EXACTLY. you could just fill the button openings and enlarge the opening if needed or whatever and a a perfect fitting oem piece. there are som badass gps units out there will tons of features. wonder if anyone else had 0-60 and 1/4 estimates like that pioneer model. i know it had boost gauge.

MAYHEM

The navi does look sick, but definitely not something I would need or use very much. I'm really jealous that they fixed the hesitation though. I didn't even notice it until the weather got really hot and humid and now it bothers me all the time. I've never had the A/C problem, but its nice to know that there won't have to be so many threads regarding it anymore. Congrats on the new car!

Subaru is reflashing ECU's form the 05 to fix the stuttering. There's a thread around here someplace.

I was wondering wether the AUTO TRANNY and NAVIGATION is something that are a requirement by US GOV. You know...the rationale would be that the driver would be too busy changing gears to actually have time to push buttons/ operate the touch screen for navigation purposes. It would create a safety issue; driving hazards. An auto tranny car you leave in gear and I suppose one may reach for navi...but what about a manual tranny car ? Sure you could pull to the right, stationary and then play with navi...but how many people do that in reality ?

So my question is...what other cars sold in the US have manual tranny and navigation from the factory ?

That aside...while the 06 navi looks fantastic...I am still saving for the Pioneer unit.

i shift around 3200-3700 rpms on average, which usually brings me down to around the low 2000 range in the next gear. in the hot and humid NY weather, i notice it almost every time i shift this way, immediately after i upshift and put my foot back on the throttle.

now was this a mass production error or there's some 05 legs that dont suffer from the studder...i kno my leggy studders but only if i let the rpms fall under 2000rpms

If you search the board you will find a ton of complaints about this issue, leading me to believe that it is a production error. A lot of people have found out that reflashing their ecu with an AP or Ecutek or something of that nature usually alleviates the problem. I think the stock ecu has some fuel delievery troubles that need to be sorted out. Apparently they already did in the MY06 Legacy's. ;)

^^

the issue with the ac is that it switches back from blowing cold air and warmer air over and over and over. I really only notice it with I have it set on auto, 65 and full blast.

Agreed, and the other issue is poor sensor location and/or long thermal time constant. For example... (setpoint at 72)

1) Car sits all day on a hot day

2) Outside temperature drops after dark

3) Enter car and start - interior air temperature is still warm, so car (appropriately) blasts AC

4) After about 10-15 minutes, interior AIR (and people) temperature is at about 62, but the sensor must still be hot, because AC/fan are still at max cool

Every other ACC system I've had for the last 20 years would stop blasting the coldness after about 1-2 minutes.

By the way, this sloppy overshooting control loop also happens during the opposite temperature situation (cold overnight, start car in morning when 72 outside and have heat still blasting 10-15 mins. later).

Mine never did that until a couple of weeks ago- is there a fix for 05's? I haven't seen a thread on it.
