I Donated Too laff79 Posted July 28, 2012 I Donated Too Share Posted July 28, 2012 I love this argument. Awesome! If you own a faster car than me from the factory, you are a douchebag with a tiny penis that can't mod a 4 cylinder. http://gifsforum.com/images/gif/at%20first%20I%20was%20like%20but%20then/grand/wwe-wrestling-at-first-I-was-like-but-then-eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3-161.gif

I Donated broknindarkagain Posted July 28, 2012 I Donated Share Posted July 28, 2012 Dumbest. argument. ever. That same "real skill and knowledge" is building 8000hp V8s. We are not talking about top fuel dragsters here. We are talking about street driven private owned cars. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." BAC5.2
I think Firebirds (or any V8 car for that matter) are just to compensate for midget penis syndrome. You can't use real skill and knowledge to make a car fast, so you have to buy the biggest engine possible. Just like you're entitled to your opinions, I'm entitled to mine as well. So anyone who gets the big stick engine is an idiot with a small penis? So you'd get a V6 mustang over a GT500? A Camaro RS over an SS or ZL1? Any base model Chrysler over its SRT variant? A 325i over an M3? StoplightAssassin
We are not talking about top fuel dragsters here. We are talking about street driven private owned cars. So people haven't built 1500hp TT Corvettes? Is that real skill and knowledge? That doubles the output of any "street driven" STi I've ever seen. BDII
Anyone who thinks a turbocharged 4-door AWD sedan is the best vehicle for making power is an absolute idiot. AWD is useless once the car gets going. It's just weight. 4 door cars are longer and heavier. 4cyl's take more money to make a fraction of the HP and TRQ that a V8 can make. The V8 that BMW but in the M3 is a stunning motor. 8000rpm, light weight and bullet proof. With the changes in CAFE standards there will be more and more amazing V8's being produced. Need forum help? hmmrdwn
Gotta agree with bac's here. There are times that awd performs really well. If the surface is wet or loose, rwd will throw the tail out and front wheel drive will oversteer. Four cylinder turbos aren't the best engines, but can be competitive. It's hard to compete against displacement for torque.

I Donated broknindarkagain Posted July 29, 2012 I Donated Share Posted July 29, 2012 Anyone who thinks a turbocharged 4-door AWD sedan is the best vehicle for making power is an absolute idiot. Anyone who generalizes "making power" is an absolute idiot. You build a car to do a specific thing. That may be straight lines, road courses, autox, drag, daily driving, etc. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." hmmrdwn
AWD doesn't help with cornering? Come on bigjweb...all wheels always have equal traction and it's obvious that putting all the hp/torque to one or two wheels is better than putting power to all four. I'm sure all the corvette owners can attest to how great they handle in snowy/wet weather and on dirt roads.
Rhett
no doubt. even with a under powered 3.6R, I love lining up with those rednecks at the stop when there is a little rain or snow on the road.
