OFFICIAL 2013 Legacy Thread

sold well out here. every other car is a 2010+ legacy lol

I see 2010+ Legacy(s) once or twice a week, but I have never seen a 2010+ LGT on the road, and I drive about 500 miles a week here in New England.

The Legacy 2010+ redesign seems to have been targeted more for the "average family sedan buyer" (whatever that means) and less for enthusiasts. From Subaru's point of view, the redesign must be a success.

Does anyone have sales numbers for the LGT only, especially compared to the previous generation?

im the avg fam sedan buyer with kids and all lol. but now we have an suv so im lookin at the gas saving 2012 impreza hatch. the interior volume is very close to the legacy so hauling kids will still be comfy ;)

I placed an order for a LGT about two weeks ago. The dealer inventory at the time indicated that there was only 1 LGT in New England at the time, and it was already sold and being delivered because it too was an order.

I suspect a major reason for not seeing too many LGT's is because dealers don't keep them on the lots. For most people, I'm sure they figure why wait two and a half months for a GT when you get a 3.6 within a few days, if not immediately?

Only reason I went with the LGT is because I wanted the top trim and I'm patient enough to wait for it (for the most part).

It's actually supercharged ^^^

I'd love one!

Edit: Unfortunately, in supercharged trim, it's still only 63hp.

Engine versions:

The I with the EN07U SOHC 34 kW (roughly 46 horsepower) engine,

The R with the EN07D DOHC engine rated at 40 kW (54 horsepower)

and the STi with an EN07X supercharged and intercooled engine rated at 47 kW (63 horsepower)

Maybe they should skip making the current body style and stick to something that isn't uglier than a man's ass.
I believe the current model is outselling the previous generation by a fair margin...

probably Subaru. The latest issue Consumer Reports ranks the BM Legacy sedan as one of the most improved in their ratings of any vehicle. That's direct comparison is obviously made in relation to the BL.

Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!! B4!!!!!!!!! :D

Don't feed the trolls!

I'm actually really curious about this mid-model change. They did it on the BL, will they do it on the BM???

no throlling here ;) I am no hater of 2010+, just not a fan.

Anyway, I think it is due to mid-life refresh, and it should get one as the family sedan field gets real hot. Doubt Subaru will say anything until few days before the release - in their typical manner. So B4 won't tell you either even though I'm sure he knows.

Yeah, I thought of that too, and did a quick calc in my head:

R1 = 800kg (1763.7 lbs)

Double that, and it's pretty close to the Legacy:

1600kg (3527.4 lbs)

Double the HP: 63 x 2 = 126hp

That's pretty low for a Legacy or Impreza.

Then you're dependent on low gearing to get decent performance.

Psht. Subaru has never done that before...

Yeah, but our LGTs have 4 times the hp of the R1 with only twice the weight, AND have 4.111 gears! (and the non-Limited GTs only weigh 3200 lbs, making it less than twice an R1)
