94legacy22
It was a good weekend. I got the turbo hood color changed and mounted, the paint job defenitely needs to be revisited but i still like the look better. Replaced my passenger door panel with a junkyard find in better shape. Found a stripped useless wheel stud and snapped another one that the lug nut was rusted onto. Replaced both of those on the pass side and made all the lug nuts match. I ordered ten wheels studs and will replace them all when i go to change the cv axles. I also used a meguiars headlight restore kit, made the headlights look brand new. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/2012-09-23_11-18-03_531_zps3b1b5b34.jpg With the headlights cleaned up http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/2012-09-23_12-10-55_853_zps066d78b9.jpg I like the look of the turnsignals in the lower bumper.. way better than mine in the side lights and fake out grills. monkeyposeur
I don't think the lower bumper lights actually light up stock. I checked them out on a few N/A first gens and they did not turn on. The running lights on the front doors do light up though. I want to rewire mine as blinkers. monkeyposeur
scoobydoo73, I turned on the blinkers and they didn't light up in that capacity either. Maybe it is a coincidence that two first gens I checked didn't work. I would love to see a video.
sqc151
Yep, front bottom lights are turn signals. That's why they are orange.
monkeyposeur
I'll try and figure out why my bud's lights aren't working then. Thanks.

monkeyposeur
I went on a leisurely trip to the junkyard and found some good stuff: Driver's side visor that stays up, bug shield (Made in Australia ) that doesn't quite fit on my '93 but fits great on a pre-facelift model (guess I'll take it back unless one of you kids wants it), two 6.5 Pioneer coaxials (sound awesome), two 6.5 Bose rear fill speakers (also sound great), door protector trim for my bud's second gen wagon, a set of OEM tweeters for a second gen (also for my bud's second gen). It was a good day for perusing old cars. I also found a Brat. The shell was in pretty good shape actually. I would love to pick it up and restore it, but the pick n pull doesn't sell the shells. I installed the four speakers and for only $20 it is a pretty dramatic improvement. I paid $80 for the same set of Pioneers that I put in my second gen. The SS is my wife's DD so she is super stoked. USLiberty
Over the weekend, I got my replacement hid ballast in and installed, also while the headlights were out I polished them clear again. I cut the stock grill to fit over my fmic, incognito. I also fixed a boost leak that I had for a while. Now, its pulling much harder an my tranny is still shifting great. I can't wait to get bodywork started. http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u386/onefastlt/IMG_20120929_171531.jpg I also attended the Prescott forest rally which was always fun.http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u386/onefastlt/P9290177.jpg

USLiberty
Yeah it looks like it has positive camber? optical illusion. I hope.... because I did the alignment myself, set the rear at 0° . driveway also has a banked angle on the drivers side rear. Today I replaced my front sway bar bushings, they weren't bad but I could tell they were going . I couldn't find any aftermarket urethane bushing for the stock 18mm bars, apparently whiteline quit making 188bushing so I had to settle for raybestos replacement. I've noticed my coilovers are noticeable stiffer now that theyte under a lighter body. A larger sway bar would be useless with my coilovers.stiff enough. Had to soften them all the way and they're still stiff.

USLiberty
today and yesterday consisted of body work on the worst passenger rear. A hailstorm victim. It is now primered. I will do the two doors next. Probably will end up painting it myself also with an light blue acrylic lacquer and a matte clear finish after I let it sit in primer for a while. I'm going to play with some two tone black primer to see what it looks like. http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u386/onefastlt/IMG_20121020_133805.jpghttp://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u386/onefastlt/IMG_20121020_161250.jpghttp://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u386/onefastlt/IMG_20121020_171333.jpghttp://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u386/onefastlt/IMG_20121020_172034.jpg Edited October 22, 2012 by USLiberty
mnstrmech
i researched numerous other forums and decided to get Narva Rangepower +50 H3 bulbs for my driving lights and Philips Extreme Vision for headlight bulbs. USLiberty
I tried numerous bulbs but not those, how much were they? I am happy I got hid's, even though I had to replace a ballast. The high beams are really bright. Today I continued body. http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u386/onefastlt/IMG_20121022_084643.jpghttp://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u386/onefastlt/IMG_20121022_175937.jpg Edited October 23, 2012 by USLiberty
