  1. The line was actually broken at the flare, right at the pump. pump wasn't very noisy, debating as right now rock auto has a rack and a pump for like 300 if i buy both. Might be a good time to get it back like new.
  2. Got new front pads, found out the rear brake line was plugged up, bled the rear brakes, new rear rotors. Went out to bed in the brake pads, working good, but i lost my power steering again. It had a leak in the high pressure outlet of the pump, put in a new line and it was working for awhile. The pump now sounds strangely quiet, any way to test and see, i don't see any leaks or puddles, and there is plenty of fluid.
  3. I fixed my power steering pressure hose which had split at the flare. Nice to have power steering.
  4. You could ship to my address i would just need you to pay for shipping up to canada.
  5. Alright guys wondering if you could render an opinion for me again. I put the timing belt on the cruck today but it looks like i'm off on the pass camshaft and the crank mark. I just decided to give it up for today and will probably readjust tomorrow, but what do you guys think from the pictures. pictures 2 and 3 are the drivers side which i think is right the bottom two pics are the pass side which looks off but moving it a whole tooth might make it worse.
  6. Your wagon makes me unnaturally happy. The wheels, stance on that car are awesome.
  7. I did buy the whole timing belt kit with all new idlers and belt. I can't afford a water pump right now but i did get the oil pump seal.
  8. Can someone give me a feelgood that i am lining this up right. I read the fsm but the pictures are not clear. It's the crank sprocket mark and the oil pump. Want to make sure i understand it. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/2013-05-24114218_zps1a86b9e3.jpg' alt='2013-05-24114218_zps1a86b9e3.jpg'>
  9. Started work on the cruck today, timing had jumped at some point marks were off, took out the rad and timing covers, had ball bearings rolling out from inside the timing cover and then found this idler pulley, pretty sure i found the problem. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/2013-05-24110309_zps52ec975d.jpg' alt='2013-05-24110309_zps52ec975d.jpg'>
  10. There is probably a vss created in the gauge cluster. Thats the way my old integra works, I think there has to be a vss or the cruise control wouldn't work.
  11. Got my STI struts and springs put in finally. Now i'm wondering if i need to switch to wrx or some such thing brake lines since the strut clips are different up front. What a pain it was to put in, but def rides better now. Rolled over 250k miles this week put in a new air filter and got all the lug nuts to match up.
  12. So i never seafoamed before and didn't figure it would really help much. Man i'm a convert now. Before i ran the seafoam, the car would not idle at all cold, would stall when rpm's came down from cold start. After seafoaming, the problem is completely gone.
  13. Fixed my oil leak by changing the oil filler 0-ring, pulled and cleaned the maf, and seafoamed through the pcv valve, and dumped the rest in the gas tank.
  14. Picked up one of these to keep an eye on my oil pressure in the future. http://prosportgauges.com/remote-oil-pressure-sender-installation-kit.aspx#
  15. Modified my second gen outback cargo cover so it would stay closed. Luckily the mounting is exactly the same as ours. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/IMG_0472.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/IMG_0473.jpg
  16. Have been actually getting something done on the car lately. Finally got the pass side cv axle replaced. Replaced all the front wheel studs and threw new lug nuts on the front. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/IMG_0467.jpg Went to pick and pull and scored some 96 outback floor mats, seat belt out of same outback to try and ditch the auto-belts, replacement coil, another maf, the blue intake tube came off a 96 impreza which had a similar air intake setup so i figured i would snag it and see what i could do with it, and lastly a fender in much better shape than my current one. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/IMG_0471.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/IMG_0470.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/IMG_0469.jpg Also got my amp put in. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/IMG_0468.jpg Also threw on a group n pitch stop i picked up. It seems to drive smoother with the new one. Looking at the old pitch stop it seems to me if i could replace the old busted rubber in the pitch stop it would make a good upgraded piece. So i ordered some delrin rod from spruce aircraft and am going to see if i can make some replacement bushing inserts for the stock piece.
  17. Well this is a start anyway. More stereo and keyless entry, then maybe some suspension work. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/2012-09-23_11-18-03_531_zps3b1b5b34.jpg
  18. It was a good weekend. I got the turbo hood color changed and mounted, the paint job defenitely needs to be revisited but i still like the look better. Replaced my passenger door panel with a junkyard find in better shape. Found a stripped useless wheel stud and snapped another one that the lug nut was rusted onto. Replaced both of those on the pass side and made all the lug nuts match. I ordered ten wheels studs and will replace them all when i go to change the cv axles. I also used a meguiars headlight restore kit, made the headlights look brand new. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/2012-09-23_11-18-03_531_zps3b1b5b34.jpg With the headlights cleaned up http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/2012-09-23_12-10-55_853_zps066d78b9.jpg
  19. I tried to get a couple in the dark pics of the nav and tweeter location. I'm using jl audio c5 650's up front. I surface mounted the tweeters to keep them close to the woofers. Not as sexy but the jl audio instructions even tell you to keep them as close as possible. I ended up using 1 inch speaker spacers but probably would have been easier with 3/4 or maybe half. The rears i just picked up some polk db components, not as nice but i don't think the rears are nearly as important and i went with something easier to mount. I'm eventually going to get a mcintosh 4 channel to power everything. Even with just the two hooked up to the head unit it sounds awesome. I threw in a pic of the bracket/spacer i was missing as well. I was lucky there was two sedans and a wagon at pick and pull last week. Don't mind the water dripping into the tweeter it had been raining and opening the door created that little stream you see. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/2012-08-06_20-43-53_438.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/2012-08-06_20-45-09_354.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/2012-08-06_20-44-54_597.jpg
  20. Put my jl audio speakers in the front doors, finished up the install of the nav unit, ran the gps and xm ant'. Found my missing rear speaker brackets and a new door panel at pick and pull. So thats' more like what did i do this week, but it is def sounding better inside. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/scoobydoo731/Legacy/2012-07-30_18-10-48_410.jpg
